“Remember everything you need to do?” Benn double checked as Daddan was fixing my over coat.
“Hai.” I said and placed the straw hat on my head, commpleting my look. I was wearing a black skirt that came to abou half way down my thigh, a black button down with the sleeves rolled up just a little past my elbow, a blood red tank top underneath my button down, fisible only until just below my bust, and my many buckled boots.
I knew I looked a lot like him, but at the same time, I still held my own apperence.
“Let’s go.” I said and followed him out the door.
I glanced up and saw aumonuse clouds coming in. I knew it was going to rain today.
I sighed to myself, why is it always raining?
All too soon for my liking we came to the Bosses building. Originally all four of the families worked together under the elder of the town. But eventually all the heads started to get different ideas of how things should be done, and they split off. All the smaller families under them had the same ideas as they did or liked them better at the time so they joined them. Now we have what we have today after much discussion, war, and breaking apart.
Benn and I left Law in the waiting room with all the other second-in-comands. He pushed the doors open and I walked in silently.
I was the last to come, apparently. He took my over coat and drapped it over his arm as he escourted me to my chair closest to the door. He pulled it out for me and then took a couple of stepps back, and stood just to my right.
“Beckman, you are aware that this is a head’s only meeting.” Big Mama growled at him.
“I’ve already made the arangments with Dragon-san for him to stay.” I told her, “I figured I just came into this possition, I need someone who’s been here a while.”
“This shouldn’t be aloud.” Black Beard snapped.
“We are aloud to bring in our next in lines, and wives apparently.” I countered, “Why not a second in command until I get the gust of it?”
He and Big Mama, along with Bonney opened thier mouths to object again, but Dragon cut them off.
“The proper arangments have been made.” He told them, “Benn Beckman is aloud to attend these meetings until Ceerie Le Roux of the Red Family feels she’s ready to be here on her own.”
They instantly shut up. but not without a grumble and or a glare.
Most of the meeting we were just informed about current news, wars, and major names that have just popped up.
This board me, as I already knew all of it. After a few hours we broke for lunch. The three of us went to Bartie’s but I didn’t eat too much. My stomach threatned to reject the food I forced down.
I had this really bad feeling something was going to happen, but I didn’t know what.
Back at the meeting there was more usless information being given, it was about two hours before the meeting was shedualed to end that we were given the oppertunity to speak.
I had nothing to say about anything, so I stayed down and quiet. Kiado had nothing either. Big Mama was ranting on about the lack of sweets she could get now thanks to the war wadging on near fishman’s island that Kiado was supplying.
Then it was Black Beard’s turn.
“The only thing I have to say is that I want my territory back.” He boomed.
Eyes shifted to me, but I didn’t flinch. I was used to it.
“Why should I give it back?” I countered, “You don’t take care of your people and their needs as it is.”
“Who the hell needs the people?” He asked cackling deeply, “Money and power is what you need.”
“And where do you think you get money and power?” I asked him coldly, “It’s given, or in your case taken, from the people. You don’t care about them, so why should I give it back to you?”
“It’s my territory.” He barked.
“Not anymore.” I smirked playing with him.
“If you don’t give it back.” He threatned.
“You’ll what?” I teased my smirk growing even wider, “Ground me? Spank me? Send in your inforcments to take it back, after mine managed to sneek it out form under your fat ass? Or are you going to tell my parents I’m not playing nice? Oh, but wait, you can’t do that because their both dead.”
“Your mother was a no good wh0r3, and your father was a drunk.” He yelled at me, “They were no good! And together they created a minature demon!”
“Shut your fat ass up!” I snarled, “I may not have ever known my mother, but she definatly didn’t open her legs for any man, unlike your type.” Bonney’s face went red, “And I know first hand just how much my father liked to drink, but that definatly doesn’t make him a drunk.” Black beard gritted his teeth, “And as for me being a demon? Get a better f*cking insult! I know six-year-olds that can do a lot better than that! And one of them you married.” My yes narrowed at him, “The only thing you’ll ever get of me, is me putting you in your place.”
He slammed his hands down on the table and growled at me, “I would love to see you do that. Because the last time you tryed, you had your daddy to hide behind, but he’s not here anymore.”
He started to chuckle evil, Big Mama and Bonney joined in. I bit my tounge to stop from killing him right then and there.
“I don’t hide, Teach.” I hissed using his real name, “But unfortunally this is a peaceful meeting, and you’re lucky enough for me being in a skirt today. You might not be so easy later on.”
“If you don’t hide, why is Beckman here?” He growled.
“I don’t exactly have my father here anymore to guide me through these kinds of things.” I told him, venom dripping from my words.
“I’m putting an end to this.” Dragon said before Black beard could reply, “I think no matter what, the Red Family will not give back what they had taken. So sit down, Black beard.”
He growled but did so.
Dragon refolded his arms over his chest and looked around the table, then closed his eyes.
“Is there anything else?” He asked.
No one sad anything.
He nodded, “I believe we’ll conclude this meeting.” He said, and we all rose, “We shall meet again, regular three months. If something happens, I’ll call it earlier.”
We nodded and he left. We all exited the room. Our second’s up all rose when the doors opened. I could tell just from the air that Kidd and Law had said something to one another.
“May I assume it went well?” Law asked when we approached him, and Benn had finished drapping my coat over my shoulders.
“Not exactly.” I told him, and fastened the buckel of the belt, “Let’s go.” I told them pulling my hat onto my head, heading for the stairs, “I wanna get home as soon so I can and puke.”
“Morning sickness?” Kidd asked as we pasted him, his evil smirk plastered on his face.
“Go f*ck yourself, Kidd.” I growled as I passed him, but then I stopped and look back over my shoulder at him, a ghost of a smile playing on my lips, “Oh, I’m sorry, you don’t have something to do that with, do you?”
His face went red, Urouge and Benn chuckled, and Law ended up bursting out in laughter.
I continued on, when we got out the door, we had noticed the terential down pour that was going on outside. Benn and Law opened up umbrella’s, I walked under Law’s.
“Is everything okay, Ceerie?” Law asked suddenly.
I paused and thought for a moment, before shrugging, “I don’t know anymore.”
The rest of the way was silent. When we got in, we went directly to the meeting room. Daddan had told me that they had some really good news.
Even with that and the promise of hot chocolate with marshmellows and whipped cream, I still dragged my feet all the way.
When I entred the room, I noticed everyone there, and a mushi on the table.
I sat down and asked, “Nani?”
“We’ve found him.” A voice on the other side of the Mushi say. I regidnized it to be Heat.
“Yes.” Killer answered, “We found oflux. All we need is the order.”
“No.” I said, “Black beard’s already on edge because of us still having his land. We’ll need to exicute this better than just a normal hit mission.”
“What do you think then?” Law asked.
I looked up at the ceiling and chewed my bottom lip for a minute.
“Who’s your most skilled, in the unit?” I asked Killer.
“That would be Killer.” Lucky answered for him.
I nodded, “And I need a man that has the same shade of blonde hair from under you, Yasopp.” I told him.
He looked taken aback for a moment, then rubbed his chin while thinking.
“I can think of six or seven blondes off the top of my head.” He told me, “But I don’t think there’s anyone else who has the same length-
I shook my head, “Length doesn’t matter for this, it’s skill I need.”
And it was right then that everyone decided to get really quiet. I facepalmed.
I need to get my head out of the gutter. I thought to myself.
“So long as he has the same shade, it won’t really matter.” I told him.
“We’re listening.” Heat said fom the other side of the mushi.
I carefully explained my stratigie to all of them.
At the end of it they gave whistles.
“It’ll be done.” I told them, “It has to.”
“Leave it to us.” Killer told me.
I nodded, there was a knock at the door. Heat hung up and Law got the door, Makino brought in the hot chocolate and coffee.
“And you’re sure we can pull this off tomorrow night?” Lucky asked after makino left.
I nodded and took a sip of my warm drink.
“It has to be tomorrow.” I told them, “Because of what’s going on then.”
“When everyone comes.” Law said smirking.
I nodded, “I’ll be buisy with all of my trade partners and business assosiates, they won’t expect it be us.”
“Yet it was your father who brought his name up to begin with.” Hawkins told me.
I nodded, “But keep in mind, there were a lot of, and I mean a lot, of people he’s wronged when he was here last. We’d just be another name on the list.”
“And that’s where the double comes in.” Lucky added.
I nodded, “And our excusse is that Lady Kaya never stay’s anywhere that’s not her house or ship over night. And we told her about we were thinking of doing trade with one of her neighbourinig towns.”
“She offer’s us the ride.”Law added.
“And it’s just a coincidence that the two have the same coloured hair.” Benn finished.
“Exactly.” I told them, taking another sip of my hot chocolate.
“I think there’s only one more thing to discuse.” Yasopp said.
“And what’s that?” I asked inbetween sips.
He waited until I put my mug down before answering me.
“The girls want to know what you were going to do for your dress tomorrow night.” He said.
I sweat dropped, “I completely forgot about that.” I lifted my head and looked around hopefully, “Think there’s still time to make it to a store?”
They glanced between each other, I lowered my head again. There was no way of reaching even the nearest store in time, and being in my stature, I couldn’t be seen in just any old dress, or one that I wore to a previse event. Mainly because most of those I had out grown.
Then a light bulb went off over my head.
I didn’t go to prom, I thought to myself.
“I got it.” I told them.
“Are you sure?” Benn asked looking the most skeptical of them all.
I raised an eyebrow at him, “Have I ever given any of you a reason not to trust me?”
The next morning I was up early and ready by the time Makino had come in to get me up.
I was wearing a regular Boss atire. Black button up with the sleeves rolled up past the elbow, black shorts that came to mid thigh, black knee high socks, and a blood red toob top underneith the buttondown, buttons were undone so it was visable.
I had already looked last night and my prom dress would be perfect. We actually had it made custom for me, and it hadn’t been that long since I had graduated.
I was downstairs just finishing my breackfast when everyone came in.
I put the paper down, and we went over everything that was going to happen tonight. Everything was ready, and of course Luffy, Sabo, and Ace were all going to be out all day as they had promised.
“And you’re sure?” Benn asked as we put our shoes on.
I nodded and slipped my hat on, knocking it back so it hung around my neck by the string.
“Alright.” He said and opened the door.
We all headed out and headed righ for the docks. Okay, Killer, Lucky, and myself headed to the docks, Benn, Law, Hawkins, and Yasopp headed to the main road conecting to the other towns. We had to greet evenly.
“Ceerie-san!” I heard someone call as I had just finished greating Iceburge and his body guard Paulie who, before even saying ‘hello’ started ranting about the small amounts of chest and leg I was showing.
I turned and before I knew it was blinded by silky locks of blue. I pushed the owner back to get a good look at her.
“Vivi.” I said smiling, she had grown so much since I last saw her, “It’s been too long.”
“It has.” She agreed and embraced me again, “I’m sorry for what happened.”
“It’s not your fault.” I told her returning the hug, “But what’s done is done.”
“I don’t think I’d ever be able to handle it like you did if it happened to me.” She told me pulling back.
“To be fair, I’m still not over it.”
“I don’t think anyone could ever be over something so dramatic.” King Cobra said coming over.
“Cobra-sama.” I said and bowed, “It’s good to see you again.”
“As you.” He said nodding, “Arigoto for continuing with our trade.” He said, “And with the parchment supplly you send us, we can keep producing much more silk.”
“I always try to look at the big picture.” I told him, I turned to the two behind me, “Lucky would you please escourt them to the cart.”
I turned back to the desert princess and her father, “The cart will take you to the Red Family house, and one of the maids will show you where you’re staying.”
They nodded, and Vivi gave me a small parting hug, which I returned.
This went on until almost noon, when we went back to the house ourselves, once there we found most people in either the foyay or in the court yard.
I had hardly been there a few moments when two vastly different men approached me.
“Ah, Ceerie-hime. I was looking all over for you.” Spandam-sama said as he aproached me.
“Ceerie-san, I was wondering when you would arrive to your own party.” Doflamingo-sama said as he reached me.
“Gomena.” I appoligised to both of them, “But as per tradition, I must meet with my guests who arrive, I only wish there were two me.”
“You’re doing a fine job so far, from what I can see.” Doflamingo said sticking his tounge out of his mouth, and I instantly wished I wore something that came up a little higher on my chest.
“A-arigoto.” I thanked, “It means a lot.”
“Neh, Ceerie-sama.” Spandam said gaining my attention, “I was wondering when the real party was going to start.”
“Six p.m. sharp.” I told him, “I hope that’s alright.”
“Perfectly fine.” He told me, “I understand there are a lot of things you must do.”
“Too true.” Doflamingo cut in, he then hooked a finger under my chin to make me look at him, “And I do hope in the middle of all this, you would save a dance for me?”
It was a statment more than a question.
“Of course.” I told him, “But I must apoligize in advance, I was never one for dancing.”
“If you have good lead you’ll be fine.” Spandam assured me.
“May I assume you would like a dance tonight aswell, Spandam-sama?” I asked trying to pull away from Doflamingo.
“If it is not too much trouble.” He said.
“No trouble at all.” I assured him.
Doflamingo opened his mouth to say something, when someone tapped my shoulder. My captor released my chin and I turned to see Killer standing there, towering over me.
“Yes, Killer?” I asked thankful for the interuption.
“Your precence is requested in the kitchen, Ceerie-san.” He said.
I nodded, “Arigoto.” And he left, I turned to the men before, “I promise to save you each a dance. But for right now, would you please excuse me?”
They nodded and waved me off, I bowed and headed in the direction o the kitchen.
I actually managed to get there without being stopped.
“Nani?” I asked after opening the doors, all the maids, chiefs, and kitchen hands were scrambling.
“We can get the potato agrotten out there on time,” Zeff told me, we had hired them to help with the food, “Soup will be fine, but the duck is goin to be a few minutes late due to a lack of ovens.”
“That’s fine.” I told him, “So long as h’orderves are ready I don’t think anyone else’ll mind it.”
“That’s good to know.” He said, “The backed Alaska plan has changed and we’re doing cakes, tarts, crem brule.”
“Fine by me.” I said, “If it’s less stress on you that is. Anything else?”
“Get out of our way.” He told me.
“Yosh!” I sad and shut the door behind me.
I enjoyed the little breather from everyone else, and it gave me enough time to make up a game plan to avoid, Spandam and Doflamingo. . . . . . Mostly Doflamingo.
Minutes before the party would actally start I was opening the door next door to my own, to find two out of three guys struggling with ties.
“Yo.” I said, they tore their attention from what they were doing to me. I closed the door and crossed the floor heading to Law.
I didn’t fail to notice the light dusting of pink on both his and Hawkin’s cheeks, meaning that Killer had to be red, from seeing me in only shorts and a toob top.
“You guys really suck at this.” I muttered as I fixed the knotts Law manage in his tie. I pushed it up to his neck, “Fix as you see fit.”
He nodded and loosened it, unbuttoning a couple buttons as well.
“I’ll tie your’s, but you-
“I know.” Killer told me, “But if we’re aloud I’d prefer to go without one.”
“Then let me get these out.” I told him undoing the worse job than what Law had done.
“Why are you here right now?” Law asked, “Shouldn’t you be getting dressed about now?”
“There was a small woredrobe malfunction.” I said as I finished untying all the knots in Killer’s tie, “I guess one of my knives cut it’s skirt, and now there’s a hole, Makino was fixing it, and I thought I would check in on you guys.”
“So like you.” Law mummbled.
I smiled and rolled my eyes, I heard my door open and close and the heavey footsteps of Daddan walking.
“Remember, midnight.” I warned Killer before exiting the room and meeting Daddan.
I admired myself in the mirror for a moment longer. The dress was black with pale purple accents. The top was fitted like a corset, purple underneath, with black lace ontop, the skirt was long and plain black, but there was a slit going up to mid thigh on my right leg, showing of half of my scar and tattoo. The sleeves originally were off the shoulders, going about half way down my upper arm before flairing out and going down the remainder of my arm, almost completely covering my hand. I say originally because the left arm came loose, and I ripped it off. In it’s place was an elbow length wrist warmer, the bottom half was plain black, the top half was black and white stripes, underneith that what a fishnet arm warmer that stopped about four inches before my shoulder, and at the top was a black belt strap keeping it in place.
I had dark nylons on, and knee high boots that lace up all the way. I did smokey eye shadow, light lip gloss, my hair was up in low pig tails, and only for tonight, my sea prism stone necklace stayed on my vanity. I had a plain black dog collar cholker in it’s place.
If I had to say it myself, I looked pretty good.
“Alright.” I told myself taking a deep breath.
I left my room and headed for the ball room.
When I got through the doors, no one was looking at them. The anoouncer smiled at me, and I smiled back.
“Ladies and Gentelmen.” The anouncer called over the light music, “Your Lady and hostest has arrived, Ceerie Le Roux!”
Applause came and I slowly went down the stairs, trying not to trip. The skirt on my dress was floor length, and I was used to knee length and shorter.
When I reached the bottom, the first to come up to me was non other than the Dressrosa King himself.
“Doflamingo-sama.” I said and grabbed two hand fulls of my skirt and curtsied.
“You looked stunning.” He told me, “How about a dance?”
I looked up at him, “I did promise.”
And I took the hand her offered. He was a very good lead, but his hand rested just a tad low for my liking.
“You do throw a very nice party, Ceerie-san.” He told me, and though he had glasses on I could tell his eyes were well rested on my clevage, but I didn’t call him out on it.
“Why, thank you Doflamingo-sama.” I said, “I tried.”
“You belittle yourself too much.” He told me, pulling us apart and spinning me under his arm.
“My father always did a much better job than this.” I told him.
“Is that what you think?” He said as we pressed our left palms together and began to circle, “I think for your first time this is quite a good set up.”
I smiled as he came back and put his hand on my back, “Arigoto, Doflamingo-sama.”
“It’s not hard to admit the truth.” He said. And he let me go as the music stopped.
I curtsied again, “Arigoto.” I told him, “That was a beautiful dance.”
“I should be thanking you.” He told me.
“You’re too kind to me.” I said and then felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned and saw Spandam holding out his hand for me.
“Spandam-sama.” I said taking his hand.
“I am blessed.” He said taking me into the beginning of the dance possition, his hand was even lower than Doflamingo’s.
I had somehow survived Spandam and his love of spining his partner.
I stumbled off the dance floor, and was caught by someone, I was scared for a moment, but when I looked up and saw a familiar blue and white striped mask I relaxed. He lead me over to the throne in the middle of the wall that looked over everyone, and he sat me down. Law handed me a glass of red wine.
“Arigoto.” I said a little fazed.
“How many fingers am I holding up?” He asked holding a certain number of digets infront of my my face.
I tilted my head to the side, “T-twelve?”
“God must you be dizzy?” He asked.
“And slightly violated.” I said hiding my eyes with my left hand, right held the glass of the arm rest.
“Stay here a little while,” He told me, “We’ll tell anyone who ask’s for a dance you must rest.”
“Of course cause I totally just took on Bartolomeo and a pissed off Kidd when I’m tired.” I told him and blinked hard a couple of times, “I’m okay.”
“Three, Baka!” I spat.
“Good to know.” He said and stood up right on my left.
For the rest of the night I mostly stayed in the throne, with the exception of a few times I got back up to dance, and Vivi came to talk. It got a little personal, so we went over to the bathroom together.
It was eleven thirty, and I was dancing with Iceburge(He actually put his hand on my back! Not my back side!), I glanced at the clock and motioned for Killer and Hawkins to exicute the plan.
At exactly midnight I approached Kaya, along with Hawkins and Hellmeppo(The decoy).
I carefully explained to her my situation and asked if she could help me out with it.
She smiled and said she would be happy to with everything my father and I have done for her.
I smiled and escourted her and Hellmeppo to the ship, after Law put my over coat on of course.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” I asked her, “The waters around here can get exceedingly hard to navigate in at early hours.”
“I have highly skilled sailors on the ship.” She assured, “I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
I nodded, “I just had to make sure.” I told her.
She smiled, “Thank you for your consern.”
She got on and I looked at Hellmeppo.
“Good luck.” I told him.
“I’ll do my best ma’am.” He said calmly walked on board.
This entire time I felt eyes on me, and I waited until they were gone until I left the dock and headed back to the party.
