(Hello my loyal readers. This story I will be reading things written by both myself and a dear friend of mine, Mykhayla. We’re writing this as our personalities in the One Piece world. Pissing off our captain, getting into trouble, and growing as people. Enjoy.)
I sat up and looked around, taking in my surroundings. After a moment of observing and much more of blinking I came to a few realizations; 1, I was in an anime instead of in my bed like what I was, 2 I was in Saboy, a section of One Piece, one of my favorite animes, and 3 one of my best friends, Mykhayla, was unconscious sprawled out on the ground next to me.
“Oi!” I called to the dirty blond on the ground, shaking her awake, “Wake up.”
Her blue eyes slowly flutter open and look up at me. I smiled down at her, knowing I wasn’t alone and she was okay.
“Hi.” She grinned up at me, “What’s up?”
“Don’t ask me how.” I told her helping her stand and look around us, “But we’re in the one piece world.”
Her jaw instantly dropped to the floor and I sweat dropped.
“Are you serious!?” She yelled flailing her arms.
“No.” I stated crossing my arms over my chest, “This is some elaborate siege I played.”
“Oh.” She said stopped, she shifted uncomfortably for a moment before she looked at me again, “Your glasses are gone.” She said as if it where the most amazing thing in the world.
“As are yours, a point would be lovely.” I hissed.
“Oi! Are you alright!” A voice called to us.
Mykhayla and I turned to look and see where it was coming from. Coming up to us was the entire Mugiwada crew.
I saw, Mykhayla’s eyes light up, I knew she was about to wave. Before anything my hand clamped down on her shoulder and pulled her a little closer to me. She stumbled back a half step, almost into my chest.
“We can’t let them know we know them as well as we do.” I whispered to her, “And we can’t let them know we aren’t from this world. Got it?”
She nodded, “But what if they can help us get back?”
“You let me worry about that.” I told her.
She nodded, and I released her from my grasp as we were approached by the crew.
“Are you alright?” Nami asked again.
We nodded, a little confused.
She smiled warmly at us and informed us, “We saw something falling from the sky, and it was you two. I’m Nami.”
“I’m Mykhayla.” My blond friend told them gleefully.
The orange haired girl turned her attention to me.
“Torri.” I said quietly. I tried to be strong for Mykhayla, but deep down I was terrified. What if we never could go home? What about our families? What about school? Would our parents freak? How did we even get here, and could we get back?
All these questions were running through my head as Nami introduced the remainder of the crew to us.
Mykhayla seemed to be enjoying meeting them after so long, but I was un nerved by it all. This was a fantasy world after all, this wasn’t supposed to exist outside of someone’s imagination.
“My dear angels, you have come for me!” Sanji somewhat sang to us as he did his noodle dance, “Did it hurt when either of you fell from heaven?”
“No, not really. I didn’t really feel a thing.” Mykhayla said innocently, as the flirting attempt went over her head.
“No. But it stung like a son-of-a-bitch when I scraped my knee climbing out of hell.” I told him with a self-satisfied smirk on my face.
His mood instantly dropped, and he got, as what I would say, slightly depressed over the fact that neither of us would return the flirting.
Hardly moments after this, Luffy came flying in yelling at everyone that Keimi was missing and we had to find her.
“No matter who she is we need to find her before something bad happens to her!” Mykhayla yelled, adding to the chaos.
“Yosh!” Luffy yelled, “You’re gonna help us!”
She nodded in agreement.
“Grove 1.” I told them, breaking through the yelling and crying. They all instantly stopped and stared at me, “Grove 1.” I repeated, “At the auction house.”
They nodded and took off in the direction of the grove. I reached out and caught, Mykhayla before she could run after the Mugiwada crew.
“If we get separated,” I told her grimly, “We may never be reunited again. Saboy has very lawless groves, and with the supernovas all here, we can’t stray too far from one another.”
Her dark blue eyes widened a moment before returning to there regular size. She looked down and nodded.
“You still have your bracelets.” She whispered. I had to strain my ears to hear her.
I looked down at my right writs to see three small pieces of rope; one was an off white colour, another was a medium brown, and the last was a very light brown colour. Each was about a half a centimeter in diameter. The ropes were all separate, but I always had them interwoven while on my wrist, but when I take them off they’re still three separate pieces.
It was only right now at this moment did I realize just what we looked like. Mykhayla was wearing a pale orange sundress, that’s straps tied up at the back of her neck, white gladiator sandals, and heart-shaped, gold locket on a golden chain, her dirty blond hair was in her regular side pony tail. In contrast, I was wearing rugged looking, baggy jeans that were tucked into black combat boots, and a spring green t-shirt, along with my bracelets, and my short, choppy, dark brown hair partly covered my face.
“Let’s go.” I said, gently pulling her along to the direction that the mugiwadas took off in. I didn’t want to be in a lawless grove with her, especially when we had nothing. I knew we had to hurry, otherwise all the marines would be there before we had a chance to get near the auction house.
I held her hand the entire way there, I felt like if I let her go then she’d disappear on me(whether it was her poofing away into thin air or running off in some random direction). When we got there, there was no one outside other than Jean Bart. I knew we still had a little time, but I didn’t know how much. I quickly pulled Mykhalya up the steps to the entrance, only to push her to the side so we wouldn’t get trampled by all the people rushing out.
“Come on.” I told her pulling her along after all the people had finished rushing by us.
“You’re further in this then I am.” She said after so long, I was beginning to think she was broken, “What’s going to happen?”
“Luffy just did something really stupid, the mermaid is gonna be freed, he’s gonna have to team up with both Trafalgar Law from the heart pirates and Eustass Kidd from the kidd pirates, after that most supernovas will leave the island safely and go to the new world, except for the Mugiwada crew and the heart pirates, and then there’s the war.”
She just nodded, like she didn’t really get any of what I had just said. I squeezed her hand lightly and smiled back at her as we came into the auction room.
“We’ll be fine as long as we’re together.” I whispered to her.
She smiled back and nodded.
I looked forward and saw Silvers Rayleigh next to Keimi, her chains were removed, and the mugiwadas celebrating.
“I wouldn’t be too happy if I were you.” I called to them, all eyes then turned to me, I swallowed before continuing, “We have marines getting into formation outside and an admiral is on his way.”
“Leave it to us.” Kid said standing from his position on the wall, “The longer we stay here the longer they have. And don’t worry, we’ll clear a way for you guys too.”
Law and Luffy didn’t say anything as they followed him out.
A faint smile tugged on the corners of my mouth as I knew what was coming next, I wanted to see it in real life.
My thoughts, however, were interrupted by Mykhayla squeaking and quivering behind me. My gaze quickly shifted from the entry way, to Mykhalya, to what, or rather whom, was standing in front of me.
I crossed my arms over my chest and stared back at the stripes that had taken over my line of sight.
“Nani?” I asked, Killer. I wasn’t that intimidated by him. He wasn’t that much taller than me. Maybe five or so inches, I was also very tall. What did intimidate me, however, was the fact I couldn’t see his face and consequently couldn’t tell what he was thinking. But I didn’t back down from him.
“How do you know all this?” He demanded.
I scoffed lightly, “You gotta be kidding me.” I mentally cursed myself for my sarcastic and witty nature, “A celestial dragon was just punched out, along with slaves escaping, and five people are here with bounties over a hundred million belli. It doesn’t take a genius to figure all that out, stupid.”
“Torri!” Mykahyla whined, “You’re talking to an incredibly tall dude. Don’t piss him off!” She half whispered, half hissed at me. To which I rolled my eyes at.
It seemed to me he was about to come up with a come back or something, but before he had the chance all metal weapons in the room started to go flying towards the exit. I instantly pulled, Mykhayla down to a crouch with me so we wouldn’t be hit by any of the weapons.
After all of it had died down, I stood up and headed towards the exit.
“Where are you going!?” Mykhayla nearly screamed at me, “Don’t leave me!”
I looked back her and grinned, “I’m not missing this.” I told her and took off down the hall to outside.
When I reached the scene I had to try hard to suppress my giggles seeing what Trafalgar Law had done to the marines, it was way funnier in person. Kidd had his giant metal arm at the ready, and Luffy had just blow up his hand.
I subconsciously licked my lips as I watched them take down the remainder of the marine soldiers with a punch.
After all the smoke and dust had settled, standing side by short side where three of the most notorious supernovas. I knew my eyes were sparkling just from watching this one battle.
“What’s wrong, Mugiwada? You’re ruining the mood.” Trafalgar Law said to the straw hatted captain with a smirk on his face.
“Soka?” Luffy asked still in his mini form, before he snapped back into his regular size.
“Torri!” I heard Mykhayla whine behind me. I turned to see her standing there almost in tears.
“Warri.” I told her and gave her an apologetic smile, “I didn’t think you’d like to see this.”
All she did was send me pouting face and cross her arms over her chest like a child would do.
“More marines are gonna come.” I told them, “Best to get out of here before an admiral shows up.”
“No one likes a know-it-all, wench!” Kidd snapped at me.
I smirked to myself, “Fine. Then I wont tell you about being forced to team up with Trafalgar Law to take down some new android developed by the navy.”
“What?” The red head snarled as a reply.
“I’m quite confident that you heard me.” I said and raised an eye brow at him.
All Kidd did was narrow his eyes at me, and then motioned something to Killer.
Before I had time to react, Killer was in front of me, grabbed me by the waist and was about to throw me over his shoulder when-
“I’m not letting you take her!” Mykhayla yelled as loud as she possibly could as she too wrapped her arms around my waist trying to pull me back.
“Torri’s mine!” She told Killer as she tried, and failed, to pull me from his grasp.
I sighed deeply and face palmed.
“Does everyone really have to grab my waist?” I asked to no one inparticular, “That’s a very sensitive area on me, so this is weird. Can we stop?”
I knew no one really heard me over Mykhayla’s yelling and crying for Killer to let me go.
“Whatever you’re gonna do.” I said this time, directing my words at Kidd, “I’m not leaving without her. And she won’t let me. No matter what, she will follow us.”
Kidd growled under his breath, and then lets out an audible curse. “Heat. Grab her.”
Heat obeyed his order without hesitation, he grabbed her around the waist like what Killer did to me.
“Oohh! Pretty hair!” Mykhayla cooed/sang, at this point I really couldn’t tell.
Killer hoisted me all the way onto his shoulder, and turned on heel, Heat following suit.
“Oi! Mugiwada!” I called to Luffy, he looked at me and blinked, “Sew that vivaro card to the inside of your ribbon! If you don’t someone will lose their life! Just do it!”
He didn’t really seem to understand so he just nodded like he only half understood.
We where just out of sight from the auction house when Heat broke the silence that had settled between us.
“Um, Captain. As much as I don’t want to disobey your orders,” He started.
“What the hell is it?” Kidd snarled at the larger male.
“I’m not exactly comfortable carrying her.” He said hesitantly.
“What the hell do you mean ‘not comfortable carrying her’?!” He demanded, “She’s the smaller and prettier one of the two!”
“I heard that!” I yelled at him.
“Good!” He shouted back, “Now why?!” He yelled, returning his attention to the zombie looking male.
“Sh-sh-she’s playing w-with my hair.” He almost whispered in shame.
“If you wanted me to stop, you could have just asked me to.” Mykhayla told him.
“Really?” He asked in disbelief.
I didn’t hear anything from her for a moment, “We may be your captives at the moment, but we’re still decent people. And the only reason why I say decent, is ’cause, Torri is quite sarcastic, and at times has a bad attitude problem.”
“You say all this, and I’m still right here!” I snarled at her.
“I love you too!” She giggled.
I rolled my eyes at her and then turned my head to see where about we were. I narrowed my eyes when I saw a shadow appear over the root of one of the giant trees. Kidd wasn’t paying attention because he was talking to his crew.
“Eustass.” I called to him, gaining his attention, “Move two inches to your right. . . now!”
I don’t know if he was skeptical about listening to me, but he did it. I heard the lazzer come from the point of the figure and Kid yelled orders to attack.
Mykhayla and I were put down as the men went to fight.
She came right up to me and tugged my wrist.
“Come on!” She said to me, desperate to get me to come with her, “This is our chance to escape!”
“And where do you suggest we got to?” I snarled at her, “We have no money and no one to rely on but each other. And right now, that’s not a lot.”
“Do you really want to go on their ship?” She whispered-yelled at me.
“And if I said yes?” I asked her raising an eyebrow.
“Umm. I’m taking you with me?” She said to me.
“I would love to see you try.” I challenged to her, smirk pulling at my lips.
“Okay, I’ll be good.” She said in defeat.
I sighed at her, grabbing her hand in mine, and turning my attention back to the fight at hand. Trafalgar Law and his crew had just showed up to the mess.
“Get out of my way, Trafalgar.” Kidd hissed at him.
“Don’t tell me what to do, Eustass-ya.” Law hissed back.
His crew joined into the fray. I heard Mykhayla squeal when she saw Bepo fight. I knew she wanted to run up to him and give him a big hug. And because I knew this, I held her hand tighter.
It wasn’t too much longer before the battle was over and the Kidd’s pirates called for victory.
Killer and Heat walked back over to us, about to throw the two of us over their shoulders and carry us on. Heat grabbed, Mykhayla and threw her over his shoulder. Killer approached me, but I put my hands up.
“You don’t have to carry me.” I told him, “I’ll go willingly, besides I’m probably heavy.”
“No you aren’t.” He told me shortly, “Don’t think that.”
I was taken aback for a moment, that was the closest thing to a compliment I had ever gotten from a guy.
I nodded and followed him, struggling slightly to keep up with his and his crew’s long and fast strides.
“Fuck off Trafalgar.” Kidd hissed to the surgeon of death.
“It can’t be helped, Eustass-ya.” He told him, “Our ship is in the same direction as yours.”
“Oi!” I said to them, gaining their attention, and trying to regain my breath, “There’s gonna be another one of those things coming up again.”
“Hell do you mean?!” Kidd demanded from me, “We beat the Shubaki. He’s dead.”
“Baka!” I yelled at him, “I told you, you’d have to team up with Trafalgar to beat a machine created by the navy to aid in hunting pirates! That wasn’t the Shubaki! All of these things are molded after him! There’s more than one!”
His eyes widened at me, and mine widened when I saw what was behind him.
“Just look.” I told him, pointing behind him.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me.” Kid hissed.
“Are you not in the mood to fight anymore, Eustass-ya?” Trafalgar asked him.
“Shut up you ass hole!” He hissed as he and his crew took off to take care of the thing.
Mykhayla and I sat on a root watching the guys fight. What else could we do? It was either get involved and die, or attempt to run away, have Kidd track us down, or get caught by the navy and arrested for being associated with pirates.
It was a long while before we actually reached the grove where their ship was, I was huffing from keeping up with them. Mykhayla had been over, Heat’s shoulder for the duration of the walk. Which was relatively short, minus running in with the Pacifistas.
Kidd sat down on one of the crates his crew had yet to load onto the giant, nightmare-ish looking boat.
“That’s a giant ship!” Mykhayla said in awe.
I sighed at her and, Kidd just rubbed his temple.
“I want names, who you work for, why you’re here, and how the hell you know what you do. Now.” He told us, directing the last one at me with strong glares.
“I’m Mykhayla, I don’t work for anyone, we kinda just fell down from the sky and wound up here, and what are you talking about?” Mykhayla said obviously.
I sighed at her, “Name’s Torri. Neither of us work for anyone, we did fall from the sky, and don’t ask me how, I don’t know. And I know what I know, because I’m a wiccan. And I have the ability to see somethings in the future.”
Kidd raised an eyebrow at my answer, “You can see in the future, how?”
I shifted a little and looked anywhere but at him.
“The future comes to me in dreams.” I told him.
“And you can control them.” He inquired.
I shook my head, “I can’t control when I dream or what I dream of, or for how long. But when I do dream, most of the time I can see things in the future. That’s kinda how I knew about the machine and Trafalgar.”
All he did was stare at me for a moment.
“What can I do to get you on my crew?” He asked. I could tell he was trying to be nice, but it still came out as a sneer.
I pointed a thumb at Mykhayla and said, “All you have to do is bring her with us, and I’ll go wherever you go.”
An evil smirk broke out on his face, “Is that it?”
I shook my head, “Neither of is to be touched. And I’ll give you all the information that you want. But only if.”
His eyes narrowed at me, then he growled.
“Alright.” He said, “But I want everything you know.”
I nodded to him.
“Killer.” His attention turned to his first mate, “Take these two to the empty room down the main crew hall. The one with its own bathroom.”
Killer nodded and motioned for us to follow him. I grabbed, Mykhayla’s hand and dragged her towards, Killer, into the ship, and through halls, down stairs, and to a doorway.
“This will be your room.” He told us and opened the door. Inside the room was a double bed on a cherry wood frame, with black sheets and bedding, on either side of the bed were cherry wood side tables, with a drawer and a shelf, on the opposing wall, adjacent to the wall with the door on it, was a large cherry wood wardrobe, next to the wardrobe was a door, on the wall opposite to that of the door was a long cherry wood table/desk with lots of drawers that extended the entire length of the wall, over the desk was a small port-hole giving a view of the ocean, on the same wall as the door there was a cherry wood dresser, and the walls alternated in a deep forest green and a charcoal grey . It was oddly homey.
“Captain’s room is just over there.” Killer pointed to a door opposite that of ours, “And my room is the at the end of the hall, last door on the left. Don’t hesitate if either of you need anything.”
“Thank you.” I told him, and he left.
He shut the door behind him, leaving us alone.
“It’s nice. I’m surprised.” Mykhayla said.
“Yeah.” I said and took a seat on the bed.
I watched as she poked through the wardrobe and all the drawers in the room. She finally opened the door next to the wardrobe.
“It’s a bathroom!” Mykhayla exclaimed, “And the toilet isn’t a urinal!”
I rolled my eyes at her and looked at the room from over her shoulder. It had black and white checkered tiles, a single shower, a black cabinet and counter and white sink, and the toilet was white.
After she had closed the door again she came back over and sat on the bed next to me.
“Welp! I’m bored now!” She told me and fell backwards on the bed, “What now?”
“I don’t know, Mykhayla.” I told her as I buried my head in my hands. What was I supposed to tell her, honestly?
I can’t tell you for how long we sat in silence together, but it was eventually broken by, Mykhayla.
“So why did you lie to them?” She asked me out of the blue.
“Huh?” I asked her, looking over my shoulder at her laying back on the bed.
“You lied to them when he asked you about how you knew what you knew. Why?” She asked again.
“What was I supposed to tell them, Mykhayla?” I asked her turning around on the bed to face her, “That we’re actually from an alternate dimension, in which this world is a show played for entertainment of people all over the world, our geography is very different from theirs, and I know all this about what’s going on because I’m actually a really big fan of the show, and I’m obsessed with?! They’d think I’m crazy! Besides, we have no where else to go. And for the record I can see certain things in the future, their just not always clear to me all the time.”
“Oh, well, when you put it that way,” She said looking the other way, “We’re Kidd pirates! Wooo!”
I sighed at her and turned around again.
“Well, should we go and introduce ourselves to the crew, or awkwardly sit in our room?” She asked me, “Cause I don’t know about you, but-
“You’re hungry.” I finished for her, “You can go if you want to. But I want to stay here.”
“How did you know I was gonna say that?” She asked amazed.
“First I just know you, second your stomach has been growling since the second Pasifista arrived.” I told her matter-o-factly.
“I didn’t know my stomach was THAT loud.” She told me amused, “Well, I think I’ll just have a shower. I’m kinda getting weirded out here.”
“And what are you going to change into when you’re finished with your shower?” I asked her.
“Uhh, cloths?” She said more as a question than a statement.
“What cloths?” I asked her, “All you have is that sundress. Which I suggest you change the first chance you get. Kidd can give the order, but after a long enough time without a woman, a man’ll take what he can. Most are controlled by what’s between their legs than anything else. And it’s not really the best thing for sailing around the second half of the grand line.”
“Good point, but where am I supposed to get cloths?” She asked me sitting up.
“I’m sure if we talk to, Kidd he’d give us some money for somethings.” I told her, “Now get some sleep, it’s been a long day.”
“Okay, good night.” She told me and pulled off her sandals before slipping under the covers and going to sleep.
I stayed awake the entire night, trying to answer the questions I had asked earlier. I knew my mom would have a heart attack when they found out I was gone. And I was really worried that something would happen to Mykhayla and I wouldn’t be there to help her. After the brightness of the day had faded into night, and the darkness of the night had broken into dawn was when I moved.
I went to the bathroom and splashed ice cold water on my face to wake myself up.
When I finished drying my face I heard noise outside in the hallway. Someone singing. It suddenly stopped outside the door and loud rapping on the wood started.
I went to the door and opened it cautiously, the covered face of Killer greeted me.
“Ohio.” I said to him.
“Ohio.” He told me, “Just making sure you two were awake.”
“I am, but leave, Mykhayla to me.” I told him.
He nodded and continued over to Kidd’s door and opened it.
I closed the door and walked over to, Mykhayla.
“Cheese cake.” I said right next to her ear.
“Huh, what, cheese?” She asked as she somewhat sat up.
“Good morning sunshine.” I told her, “Come on, it’s time to get up.”
“Do I still get cheese cake?” She asked me as she slipped her shoes on.
“We’ll see.” I told her.
She giggled as I pulled her out of the room and into the hall as soon as Killer had shut the door to Kidd’s room and was out in the hall with him.
Kidd growled and stalked forward without saying a word.
“What a grizzly bear.” Mykhayla said to no one inparticular.
“Come on.” I told her pulling her along after Killer. I still didn’t know the lay out of the ship, and I didn’t want to get lost.
And for the first time since we had stepped onto the ship we had gotten up to the main deck. Where the rest of the crew was.
