What If It Were Real?(Part 6)

0

The sounds of screams where in the air, blood splattered on the floor boards, and guts were pouring out of half alive victims stomachs.

The Kidd pirates had run into another pirate crew on the second half of the grand line, and like usual the captain wanted to fight. All of them boarded and prepared for battle. But unlike the rest of the time, there was an extra body on the Kidd’s side.

The short haired brunette tossed knives like they were nothing into vital parts of her enemies. She moved with such grace as she ran past those who were still alive and slicing them open like a loaf of bread. Unlike her male counter parts she wasn’t afraid to slice off the enemies masculinity in order to weaken them enough.

She was relentless. Even when the remaining fifteen survivors begged her and her captain for mercy, Captain Kidd nodded for her to finish them all off. And so she did, without any hesitation.

When the last body fell to the floor limply with a thud, the crew went to loot the ship for what it’s worth.

They then sent the ship floating on, on the sea waves to where ever it would like to take it. And they moved on, back to their regular life on the ship.

Torri’s pov.

I watch coldly as the ship floated out further and further. It was odd, I didn’t feel any remorse for killing them either. I actually felt good about it, like I’d done something I’d been deprived of my entire life.

I took a deep breath and held it a moment before exhaling.

I did feel really good.

“sandwiches are done!” I heard Mykhayla sing as she burst open the door heading into the dinning cabin.

“And I made all your favorites!” She giggled as she started handing them out to the crew.

I smiled and crossed my arms as I watched her, ‘She’ll always be this way.’

“Torri, we ran out of turkey breast, so I used ham, chicken, and roast beef. But your favorite cheese and bread is on here, along with mayo, tomato, cucumber, and lots of lettuce!”

“Thank you.”I said to her and took the food she offered me.

“Were we gone that long?” I heard Heat ask the girl as I took a bite.

“No.” Mykhayla said plainly, “It only really takes about one minute and forty five ish seconds for each sandwich, unless it’s grilled cheese, but you can multitask with them.”

Everyone kind of nodded and dropped the subject. It was nice to come back after something like that to something nice like this.

Meanwhile, twenty miles away. . .

“Captain!” A man about thirty came running up to the captain who sat on deck talking into a mushi, “We’ve just identified a pirate ship heading our way!”

“Then stop it!” He snapped at the poor man.

“That’s the thing sir.” He started, “By the looks of it, someone else already has.”

The captain raised an eyebrow and then spoke into the mushi, “I’ll call you back.”

The captain instantly rose and went to see what his underling was talking about.

“I’ll be damned.” He said in disbelief when he saw a fairly notorious pirate flag still flying high, but there was no one on board that he could see.

“Prepare to board.” The captain called, all around him nodded and ran off to prepare.

When the ship came close enough they drew it in fully and boarded without hesitation. But when they crossed over, all the navy soldiers were appalled, and some where sick at the sight. The captain looked in utter horror. There was no way this was done by a no body crew.

“H-h-helppp-p.”

The faint sound of a voice reached his ears as he saw there was one final survivor in this horrific mess.

The captain grabbed the half dead man and held him.

“Who did this too you?” The captain asked.

“I don’t know.” The pirate said, “I know the captain had fire-y red hair, and yellow eyes. There was one with long blonde hair and spinning sythes on his arms. Another breathed fire. And one was in a cloak.”

“The Kidd Pirate crew.” The captain growled, “Those men are some of the cruelest pirates this world has ever seen.”

“They weren’t all men.” He said, the Captain’s head snapped back to the injured man, “There was one who looked boy-ish, but she was the cruelest of them all. Even the captain didn’t immaculate any of the men.”

The Captain looked down on the pirate with utter horror. There was no way that Eustass ‘Captain’ Kidd would ever take a woman on his crew, not unless she could be a threat on some else’s crew to him.

“She must be really powerful.” The captain half laughed to the pirate, but then realization hit him when the pirate didn’t respond. He was dead. The wounds he’d received had been too great for him to withstand any longer.

“Find the Kidd Pirates!” The captain yelled to his underlings.

“Yes sir!” They yelled and went back to their ship to be sick once again.

Torri’s pov.

“Just get what you need.” Kidd snarled at the two of us when we told him we were going to get supplies.

“Don’t worry.” I told him, “We’ll hurry.”

Kidd just rolled his eyes as we turned and walked down to the town.

“Can we get ice cream?” Mykhayla asked as we walked down the path.

“Sure.” I smiled at her.

“Yay!” She said and began to jump up and down.

“Come on.” I told her and rolled my eyes as we pushed on.

“Coming!” She called after me.

We managed to find an ice cream stand easily, Mykhayla got vanilla and I got cookies and cream. We sat on  a bench over looking the sea as we ate them. We figured we should savor them instead of eating and running, besides it was a beautiful day out anyway.

We’d both just finished our cones and were just about ready to go out shopping, when I felt something prick the back of my neck. I felt my eyes grow wide, and wanted to alert Mykhayla to run, but I couldn’t even speak. I felt my eye lids get heavy and I was forced into a drug educed sleep.

–1.5 hours later–

I heard foggy words as I started to wake up. I was brought fully awake by a bucket of water getting dumped on me.

My eyes opened fully and I heard myself gasp because of the cold.

“Bout damn time you woke up pirate.” The marine in front of me growled. He was the one who threw the water on me, the bucket was still in his hands.

All I did was glare at him. He tisked and turned away from me to put the bucket down. I took the opportunity.

I was in a white room, sitting in a metal chair, my wrists bound together with rope, there were two marine officers in the room with me, that included the evil water guy, and I didn’t see Mykhayla.

That meant one of two things; either Mykhayla got away from them and managed to make it back to the ship, or they were holding her in another room.

Either way, I instantly wanted to disembowel them.

“Girlie, we have some questions for you.” The water guy told me, “And you’re going to be nice and answer them for us, and we’ll be nice back. But if you aren’t going to be, we’ll get mean.”

I didn’t respond, I just held his gaze as he said that, unblinking.

“This is gonna be a long day.” The other marine in the room said to himself.

Mykhayla’s pov.

I mumbled a little and rubbed my eyes as I yawned.

“That was a nice nap.” I said to myself.

I opened my eyes and looked around the room I was in.

“Torri?” I called out because I couldn’t see her, “Are you there?”

“Don’t worry.” I heard a strange male voice say, “She’s alright, we just wanted to ask her a few questions.”

“Okay,” I said shifting awkwardly, “When will I possibly be able to see her again? We have things to do and we need to get back or someone will be a mile past pissed at us.”

“That will depend on your friend.” he told me, “If she answers all the questions we have for her it maybe soon, otherwise I suggest you get comfortable.”

I sighed, “I assume we’ll be sitting here a while then.” I told him.

“What gives you that impression?” He asked me.

“She either speaks in English-giberish or not at all.” I told him.

“Then would you like to talk to me for a while?” He asked.

“Anything inparticular?”

“Your affiliation with the Kidd pirates crew.” He said calmly.

“What about it?”

“How do you know the crew?”

“Not very well.”

“I mean, how did you come in contact with the crew?”

“Fluke,” I told him with a shrug, “Kidd wanted Torri, and Torri wouldn’t go without me. So I somehow got suckered into this. But I’m not a pirate, Kidd refuses to call me one of his own. I’m just the sandwich maker.”

“How long have you two been traveling with the Kidd pirates?”

“32 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes, and 25 seconds.”

“You keep track of all that?”

“Yes, yes I do. There’s nothing else for me to do on that ship other than keep time, and make sandwiches, because Kidd won’t let me mop anymore.”

“Is there anything you can tell me about the crew?”

“Their favorite sandwiches.” I told him with a smile, “Oh, and Heat’s shampoo! It’s wonderful!”

Meanwhile…

I spit out a small amount of blood from the last punch that guy gave me. I still refused to talk, and he was getting absolutely pissed at me.

“I’ll ask this one more time.” He growled at me, “What is your affiliation with the Kidd pirates?”

I just stared at him.

He then gritted his teeth and hit me again.

“You’re being a bitch!” He yelled at me.

I only spat the blood that was in my mouth on his face.

And with that he started pounding me like there was no tomorrow. But I had to smile. He wasn’t getting anywhere with me, and all I had to do to get to him was glare.

His tantrum session was cut short by a third officer entering the room.

The water guy stopped and looked at the new guy.

“Anything out of the blonde?” He asked.

“Nothing useful.” He stated and rubbed his face, “But I can tell you their favorite sandwiches.”

They all sighed.

“Any better luck here?” He asked.

They shook their heads, “She hasn’t spoken a word since she woke up.”

“If they don’t start talking soon we’ll have to escalate to real torture.”

“Maybe we should bring the blonde in here.” One of them suggested, “If we smack her around in front of this one, she might give us answers.”

“You wont get any answers.” I called to them.

“What was that?” The one marine snarled at me.

“I said, you wont get any answers.”

“So, now you decide to talk.” He chuckles, “Is there anything else you would like to say now that your mouth isn’t sealed?”

“Yes.” I said coldly, “You made two mistakes. The first was isolating me from Mykhayla.”

“And how’s that a mistake?” He laughed.

“Because she wont be able to see what I’ll do to you, so I wont have to hold back when killing you.”

“And how are you going to do that?” He laughed.

“That’s your second mistake.” I told him, a smirk pulling at my lips, “You bound my wrists in rope, and not cuffs.”

Meanwhile…

“Dun dun duhhhh!” I sang while doing the piano gesture.

“What the hell was that for?” The new marine in the room asked me.

“Ever have a feeling something really intense is going on with someone you know?”

“Sometimes.”

“I’m having that right now!”

“I see…”

Meanwhile…

“And how are you going to undo the knots?” He asked.

“Amatures.” I said and rolled my eyes, “You don’t go for the knots, you go for the rope itself.” I lifted up my arms to show the broken rope on either wrist, “It breaks easier.”

When one of the marines reached for a gun I broke the neck of the guy in front of me and grabbed the knife he had on him.

I then lunged at the next nearest marine and stabbed him right in the heart, he spit up blood and fell limp against me. The last marine had gotten the gun and was firing it at me, but I used the marine that was still on my knife as a human shield. And when he ran out of bullets, I pushed the one off the knife and pounced on the last one bringing the knife down right between the eyes.

I waited a second before pulling the knife out and wiping the blood off on my jeans.

My knife holster was on the table, so I grabbed it and made my way out of the room as I pulled it on.

‘Hard parts over.’ I thought, ‘All that’s left to do is find Mykhayla, and escape. Easy.’

Meanwhile…

“Dun dun duhhh!” I sang again with the piano gesture.

“Again?” The marine asked me.

“Yup.” I said with a smile on my face.

Just then the door got kicked open and in the door way stood a red stained Torri.

“Oh, Torri! You’re okay!” I was happy when I saw she was alright.

“Yeah.” She said in her regular ‘I don’t care, but don’t mess with me’ voice,”Mykhayla, can you look out the window for about fifteen seconds?”

“Okay!” I picked up my chair and turned around to look out the window to see the blue sky. I heard a muffled thud about five seconds in, and wondered what is was.

“Can I turn around now?” I asked her.

“Yeah, sure.” She said to me.

I picked up my chair and turned around to face her again before taking my seat again.

I saw her wiping the same red substance as before on a clean spot of her jeans and the marine officer that was standing there confused before, on the floor without a head.

“That was fast.” I stated bluntly.

Torri shrugged, “You know I don’t like to wast my kill time on marines.” She told me.

I nodded.

“Let’s get out of here.” She said.

“Okay!” I said started towards the door, only to stop when I felt her hand on my shoulder stopping me.

“We can’t get caught again.” She told me slowly, “Meaning we’re going out that way.” And she pointed to the window.

“I see your point.” I said and nodded, “Let’s go.”

—Two hours later—

“Where the hell have you two been?” Kidd yelled at us as we approached the ship.

“Just shut up.” I told him, “It’s been along day, and I’m currently in no mood to deal with you Captain”

“Then what the fuck happened to your face?” He demanded.

“It’s the newest fashion trend!” I barked back at him, “Look like you’ve been through hell today! Maybe you should try it too, Kidd! I’d be more than happy to help you out with your look!”

And with that I pushed past him to bring all the stuff up into the kitchen.

Mykhayla’s pov.

Kidd watched Torri storm into the ship before turning his attention to me.

“What the hell happened to you two today?” He growled.

“Oh, you know.” I started, “We just had a nice conversation with some marines, no big deal.”

“And what the hell happened to her face?” He demanded.

“No sure.” I said honestly, “We weren’t in the same room.”

“What did they want to know from you guys?”

“Nothing much really.” I said, “But I told them about your guys favorite sandwiches.”

And with that Kidd face palmed and went back into the ship.

–Later that night–

I was sitting at the desk writing the log by candle light. I told about the island, and the slight marine disturbance that Mykhayla and I went through.

Mykhayla was on the bed reading a book, waiting for me to be done in order for us to go to sleep.

There was a knock at the door. Mykhayla got up to answer it.

“Oh hi, Killer.” I heard her say, “What’s up?”

“I got something for, Torri.” He said to her.

“She’s right there.” Mykhayla said to him.

I put the quill down and turned to look at him. He was carrying a tray in one hand.

“I thought you might want some medicine to elevate the pain and stop a possible infection.” He said a little sheepishly.

I smiled at him, “That’s kind of you, thanks.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He said, “But just what happened to you today?”

Sighed before replying, “Mykhayla and I got kidnapped by marines, and put in separate interrogation rooms. They wanted to know how we became members of the Kidd pirates and such. I refused to answer and the guy got mad. So he hit me around a bit to see if I would talk. I didn’t.”

“Bastard deserves to die.” I heard Killer mutter, “You shouldn’t hit a girl.”

“I broke his neck.” I told him with a smile, “And I don’t believe in that rule.”

Killer nodded and bit before saying, “I hope you feel better in the morning.”

“Thank you.” I said, “Have a good night.”

“You too.” He said, “If you need anything don’t be afraid to ask.”

I nodded and he turned and left the room, shutting the door behind him. I watched him the entire way. And my eyes darted to Mykhayla, whom was behind the door. A childish smile on her face, and hands in the shape of a heart next to it.

I raised an eyebrow at her.

“What?”

“He’s so crushing one you!” She squealed.

I shook my head, “He’d have done that for anyone in my situation.”

“Suuuuure.” She said with an eye roll, “Whatever helps you sleep at night, Torri.”

“He would.” I defended, “Killer’s just that kind of guy.”

“I wonder about you sometimes.” She said shaking her head.

“And what pray tell do you wonder about?”

“How you can be so dense when something is so obvious!” She argued.

“What’s obvious?” I asked.

“Killer has a thing for you!” She said in a sing-song voice.

“Yeah,” I said, “And he left it here.” Motioning to the tray of medicine.

Mykhayla face palmed, “I’m just going to stop this conversation so we can go to bed, because I don’t know about you, but I need to sleep.”

I shrugged, “Okay. I’ll be in as soon as I patch myself up.”

I headed into the bathroom with the tray in hand to put on the medicine, and on the way I faintly heard Mykhayla say something along the lines of ‘That girl’, which I just rolled my eyes to.

What if It Were Real?(Part 5)

0

“You’re staying here with the rest of the crew and guarding the ship, like it or not!” Kidd snarled at Mykhayla.

“Why?” She questioned.

“Because you decided to be a little shit last time, that’s why!” He yelled.

We just docked on another island, and were egar to explore it because we’ve been at sea for a while. But Kidd just had to be difficult and make sure everyone knew what was going to happen like it or not. And because of what happened on the last island, Kidd has a bit of a vendetta against Mykhayla for it.

“Dude, there is a time and a place to be on this ship, and that is not when we’re docked on a beautiful island like this, okay?” She argued.

“And I’m the captain so you do what I say, okay?” He snarled back at her.

“Kidd, I’m going to tell you something.” She said to him calmly, “You aren’t my captain. You’re Torri’s captain, I’m just here because she wants me to be.”

Kidd growled deep in his throat and looked about ready to kill her at any moment.

I sighed knowing we weren’t getting anywhere.

“Mykhayla, stay on the ship with the guys until we get back. Then we can go play in the water together, okay?” I cut in before anything could go wrong.

“Okay.” She said and smiled at me.

“It’s really that easy?” Kidd asked me with a glare in my direction.

I shrugged, “Guess so.”

“From now on, when I order her to do something you’re going to tell her to do the same, okay?” Kidd told me.

“I’m not sure I can agree to that captain.” I told him honestly.

“Why not?” He growled.

“I may not agree with what you want done at the time.” I told him.

“If it’s something you agree with then.” He growled in submission wanting to end this conversation and move on with his day. I guess arguing with Mykhayla can where a person out.

“Yes sir.” I told him.

“Good.” He said with a sigh and rubbed his face, “Let’s go.”

“We’ll be back in a few hours.” I told Mykhayla.

“Kay!” She called after us and waved as we made our way into the forest.

–Two Hours Later–

“This island has a wonderful variety of life on it.” Killer said on our way back to me.

I nodded, “Maybe later I should drag Mykhayla out to bring back some fresh fruit and stuff for dinner tonight.”

“If you’d like I could help you.” He offered.

“That’d be nice.” I said to him with a smile.

Then Killer stopped in his tracks.

I tilted my head and looked at him, “What’s the matter Killer?” I asked.

“There’s something big coming.” He stated to all of us.

We all turned the way he was facing and readied our weapons.

It began to get louder and louder, the ground began to tremble, but we held our ground ready to take on anything that came out at us.

“It’s almost like a stamped.” Killer said to us.

I had to agree, the ground was trembling too much and there was too much noise for one single animal to make on it’s own.

I pulled out a second throwing knife, just in case. Moments later the trees in front of us were mowed down like weeds by a giant black blob that blocked out the sun. A few more came following it. And almost instantainusly, I lost all my nerve and dropped  the knife I’d just drawn.

Five, thirty, plus, feet tall, pitch black, eight long, hairy legs that knees reached higher than their backs, eight big, red eyes above razor sharp pincers. Spiders.

My eyes widened at the sight of them, and wondered vaigly if this was just a nightmare. But all those thoughts changed when I heard the largest one of them all let out a blood curdling cry.

The fact I was still on my feet was the most amazing thing to me at that moment. I guess I knew if I fell to my knees I wouldn’t have a chance at escape.

“Each of us has one, kill them!” Kidd yelled to us.

Then I realized: there were only five of us. Kidd, Killer, Wire, Heat, and me. And at the moment I was having a hard time breathing, let alone fighting.

‘Should I plung the knife in my heart and get it over with myself?’ I asked as I saw the advancing aracnide approach me. But as it got closer I realized I couldn’t move at all.

“Torri, what the hell are you doing?!” Kidd yelled at me. Apparently while facing an amazingly armored beast that was a million times bigger than he is, he still found time to yell at me.

I couldn’t respond, I could barely breath. Why? The spider’s head, pincers and all, was about a foot away from me.

I wanted to close my eyes to not see my demise, but I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t. Then something unexpected happened.

The ends of the spider’s pincers turned up in almost a smile like manor, and it spoke.

I finally found you!”

I was officially shaking in terror, if wasn’t already.

“Are you sure she was the one you were sensing earlier m’lady?” The Spider Heat was facing asked.

“I’m sure of it!” She replied, “She is the psykick!”

My life is going to end.

“Keep your hand’s off her!” I heard someone yell, but I don’t know who. I was too quickly wrapped up in spider silk and taken away, but not before I could scream at the top of my lungs.

Mykhayla’s pov.

I was leaning over the edge of the railing waiting for Torri to come back. I didn’t understand why Kidd made me stay here. I only call it like I see it.

“I want off this ship!” I whined, “When’s Torri coming back?”

Then I heard a loud scream and turned towards the island.

“That can’t be.” I said to myself. But there was something in me saying go check it out. So I did.

“Mykhayla, where the hell do you think you’re going?” One of the lower crew members asked me, rather rudely as I jumped over the railing.

“To the bathroom!” I yelled back, “I’m not using it after you! I’m going to be safe and go behind the bush. So if you need me, don’t need me, that’s weird.”

I ran off into the forest towards the scream leaving him confused. After about ten minutes of running I came to a small clearing that had been made bigger by a large amounts of trees being knocked over in a large trail, and on the other end of the clearing there was Kidd, Heat, Wire, and a pacing, obviusly flustered, Killer.

“So what happened here?” I asked as I walked over to them, “Do you guys have a lawn mower or something on you to do that?”

“I thought I told you stay on the ship!” Kidd yelled at me.

“You did.” I said to him, “And I decided to not listen to you.”

“I thought Torri told you to stay on the ship!” He yelled at me again.

“Yeah, but she’s not here now.” I told Kidd and flashed them all a million dollar smile.

After about a minute of silence and me looking around.

“So where is Torri anyway?” I asked wondering why she left with them but wasn’t with them now.

“Oh, also, did you guys hear someone scream like ten minutes ago? I think I’m going crazy.”

The guys seemed to shift slightly and kept looking at one another instead of answering my questions.

“Guys,” I called to them gaining their attention again, “Where is Torri? And what was that scream?”

Wire looked between them and me before turning to me fulling and beginning to speak, “The giant mow down was done by giant spiders that inhabit this island.” He started, “They came after us for some reason we aren’t fully aware of yet. We tried to fight them all off, but I don’t quite know what happened to her when we were going to fight. They wrapped her up in their silk and carried her off somewhere, after she screamed bloody murder.”

I felt rage build up inside me after what he told me.

“Okay, Mykhayla.” I said to myself, “Deep breaths. Calm down.” I took a couple of deep breaths before turning my attention to the guys, “I’m going to say this once.” They nodded realizing I wasn’t messing around anymore, “Torri has aracniphobia, for those of you who don’t know what that means, she’s deathly afraid of spiders. And not only did you bring her onto an island full of spiders and left her alone to fight one, a GIANT one to top it off. And you let her get taken by that one, for an unknown reason, which could be anything in this sea, and you’ve yet to do anything about it. Mykhayla isn’t happy, and when Mykhayla isn’t happy bad things happen, and when bad things happen things will die. So we are going to track those things down, and get her back. And in this situation you are either with me, or against me. And if your against me, I’ll use you as a decoy to get her back. And come hell or high water, that girl’s coming back. Capice?”

The guys looked mildly scared, but mostly confused.

“And how do you suppose we find her, tracking genuse?”Kidd questioned.

“Oh, I don’t know.” I said sarcasticly, “Maybe we follow the giant path left behind by them to their hide out?!”

All the guys(excluding Killer, who’s face I couldn’t see) had a ‘why didn’t I think of that’ look on their faces.

Meanwhile. . . .

I woke up from a tranquilizer of some sort. The sound of static met my ears, little light reached my eyes, and my skin was covered in goose bumps from the cold of the cave I was in. Each of my wrists and ankles were bound by spider’s silk that kept me suspended over a pit of moving black. I instantaniusly didn’t like my situation.

I licked my dry lips and took a deep breath, I was scared for certain, but I was not about to die in a place like this.

I attempted to manover my body to see if I could find a weak spot or something in my binds. But it did nothing in my favor, it only alerted the same spider that took me I was awake.

“Good, you are awake. I was beginning to think that was too strong of a tranquilizer for humans.”

“Who are you?” I asked, my voice soft, meek, and quiet. I knew it was a giant spider, more than likely the queen. But I wanted to know what they wanted with me.

“I am queen aracnida, the cuties beneath you are my lovely children. And before you ask your next question, I’ll answer it for you.” She told me, “You have a strange ability I have been able to see since you stepped foot on this island. And I want that ability, for my children at least. And do you know how we gain new abilities?”

“No, but I have a feeling you’re going to tell me all about the shit you do to your victims.” I growled.

“What a mouth on you!” She said appaled.

“You should see the shit I spew out on a fucking good day.” I teased.

She shook her head, “Your powers will make up for that, don’t you worry. And we eat them. Normally the ability can only be obtained by one of us eating the person whole, but with the amount of power I sense coming off of you I think all my babies could feed on you and gain it.”

“Hate to break it to you, bitch.” I snarled, “But I can’t control it, and I sure as hell aren’t gonna hand it over to you.”

“I’m counting on it.” She laughed, “The more the victim struggles the more power is released. It’ll be wonderful!”

And with one last cackle she turned to leave me but paused, “I highly suggest that you savor the last moments of your life, once my babies wake up it’s dinner time.”

“Sorry,” I told her with a smirk, “I’m not hungry.”

She giggled at my responce and left.

I sighed and took a few more deep breaths in an attempt to calm my mind to break out.

Spider’s silk is near indistructable, however all spiders can’t stand heat. Where am I going to get heat right now? I struggled slightly more seeing if there was anything I could use, and I felt something. I looked up to my right wrist and realized my rope bracelett was still on my wrist and just above the silk. An idea popped into my head.

“What do I have to lose?” I asked myself.

No one’s pov. – Mykhayla’s group

The group pressed on, Mykhyala about ten feet in front of the group of guys. A smile never left her face as rage radiated off of her body, a huge slight twitch in her neck going on as she walked.

The group of guys behind her were talking quietly wondering what they should do.

“I think we need to calm her down.” Wire said to the rest of them.

“And how do you suppose we do that?” Heat asked in a panic.

“Right, how do we do that Killer?” Kidd asked.

“Why are you asking me?” Killer asked, “You’re the captain.”

“Yeah, but you’re always the guy with the plan.” He retorted.

“You’re the one who wanted the witch on your crew and would do anything to get her on. That meant the blonde had to join too. Your decision, you’re calming her down!”He told the taller man.

“Captain’s order’s Killer.” Kidd growled to his first mate.

“Hurry up you guys!” Mykhayla called back to the men. They all instantly turned to see what was going on with her. She was still smiling like a mad woman, neck no longer twitching, but she had a spiked cast iron frying pan that she didn’t have before in her right hand, and the leg of a guard spider, still attached to the body in the other hand.

“Torri’s probably scared out of her mind by now.” She said.

“Damn right about that!”

All heads turned to the new voice that joined in the conversation, and eyes lit up as it happened.

“Torri!” Mykhayla yelled and threw her hands up showing how happy she was to see her friend again, “You’re okay!”

“We won’t be for long!” She yelled at the blonde as she ran past.

“What do you mean?” She asked as she cocked her head to the side.

Her question soon answered by the sound of and ground shaking of a stampeed.

“You didn’t kill them!?” Kidd yelled at the brunette who ran by.

“Irrational fears are irrational!” She said to the red head, “But that doesn’t make them any less real!”

“Is there a way we can beat them?” Killer asked as the girl ran by them.

The brunette in question instantly stopped in her tracks, “Heat!” She excalimed and turned to the boys, “They can’t stand heat!”

“What are you talking about?” The blonde asked coming up to the rest of the group, “Heat’s amazing.”

Torri quickly face palmed, “Not the crew’s Heat.” She said, “Heat heat, warmth, fire, sparks, friction. They can’t handle heat, meaning Heat can beat them!”

Kidd and Heat looked at each other and nodded, as the spiders were in view of where the crew was.

“You know what to do, Heat.” Kidd smirked, and Heat nodded.

Heat took center stage and blew out as much fire as he could to take them down. Those that got past the first wave were quickly disposed of by Killer and Wire.

“You will not escape me psykick!” Aracnidia screamed as she was met with Heat’s fire, “No!”

When all the smoke and blood had settled it was peaceful for a moment. Torri took a sigh of releafe.

“What did she mean by psykick?” Kidd asked her.

“I don’t know exactly.” She admitted, “I know psykicks have the ability to see the future, and in a way I have the same ability. But-”

“But what?” Kidd asked getting impaitent with the girl.

“We aren’t done yet.” She said to her captain voice breaking.

“What are you talking about?” Kidd asked her.

She only quivered as she pointed to the smoldering remains of the queen and the rest of her army.

What looked like millions of baby spiders crawled over the dead in order to make it to the crew, and their dinner.

“Permission to freak out, captain?” Torri asked the red head.

“Not yet.” He told her, “Heat!” He yelled.

But the Zombie man was already on it, blowing all the spiders away. Killer and Wire aiding him with the ones he couldn’t get on his own, Kidd pitched in this time too.

“Okay,” Mykhayla said to the startled brunette, “Calm down, we’ll be fine.”

Torri listened to the words her friend was speaking but she couldn’t help the anxiety rise up in her when she saw there was barely a dent being made in the spiders. They had numbers on their side, and they were bound to get tired soon. But surprising to Torri the numbers soon dwindled down to very few.

And when the last spider infront of her was stabbed through did she allow herself to breath.

As the guys walked over to where the two girls stood victorius, Torri couldn’t help but have an uneasy feeling in her stomach.

“I told you there was no reason to freak out yet, right?” Kidd smirked down at the shorter girl.

All she could do was nod and look away. She had let the crew down by getting captured, and put them in danger by not facing her fear in time, and to top it off she didn’t trust them when they came through for her.

“Mykhayla, knock it off.” Torri whined to the blonde.

“Knock what off?” The girl in question asked as she looked up from burnt spider carcuses.

No one could read what was on the brunette’s face as she said, “Permission to freak out now?”

Kidd didn’t understand what was going on with this girl until she squealed and started running around like the devil was on her tail. And then he, and the others, understood.

One single spider managed to make it through their lines, and was currently on the small of the girl’s back hanging on to her t-shirt for dear life as she ran fast.

Heat and Killer responded before Kidd could. Heat lit the thing on fire while Killer cut a piece of it off.

“Oh my God!” Torri screamed at the top of her lungs as she continued to run, “It’s still on me and it’s on fire! It’s on me and it’s on fire! What do I do? What do I do? It’s on me and It’s on fire! What do I do?”

“I’m coming Torri!” Mykhayla Screamed and knocked the spider off her back with a broom handle onto the ground, as Torri continued forward to Killer for some form of comfort as Mykhayla continued to bash the spider saying things like ‘Don’t die on me’ and ‘I’ll save you’.

And the entire time this is happening the guys are looking at the two with only one question or rather solution as to what has transpiered here today.

Once the spider was completely mushy goop, and Torri had calmed down enough to think rationally they made there way back to the ship.

When they reached the beach, Wire couldn’t help but ask the girls something.

“Hey, is the entire reason why you guys have acted like total opposites today because you’re on your periods or something?”

The girls stopped for a moment and blinked at the tallest man in the crew.

“No.” They said in usion.

“I just really don’t like spiders.” Torri said with a shiver.

“And I don’t wanna lose her.” Mykhayla said with a gesture to the brunette.

The guys nodded and made their way onto the ship not wanting to continue with the conversation.

“Can we play in the water now?” Mykhayla asked Torri.

The brunette nodded as she sat down to take off her boots.

–The Next Day–

I was just coming out of the kitchen after finishing with the breakfast routen, when I heard a shreak.

I instantly went over to investigate and there were three underlings crowded around something. One looked up and noticed me.

“Torri’s here!” He cried, “She can save us!”

The other two moved to reveal a wood spider crawling across the floor boards. I raised an eyebrow at it as the three fell back laughing like little school girls.

Their laughs were cut short by the echoing sound of a foot step. They stopped and looked up at me at that.

“Get lost or the same thing will happen to you three.” I snarled.

They all got pale seeing me stomp the spider without a second thought and ran in the opposite direction.

“I though you had aracniphobia?” Killer joked from near by on the railing.

“I do.” I told him, “But not all spiders bother me like others. And most of the time I’m fine as long as they don’t touch me.”

“Good to know.” He said with a nod.

“Why, planning on messing with me with spiders?” I asked as I leaned over the railing to see his face better.

“Nope.” He said and popped the ‘p’ when he said it.

“How come?” I asked, “I know you’d get a couple laughs out of it.”

“Mykhayla would have my head.” He said.

I smiled and turned my head back to sea, there was a moment of silence between us before we both burst out laughing.

What If It Were Real? (Part 4)

0

In the deepest part of the ocean there was an unknown light coming from the inside of a bubble at the bottom of the ocean. I stood on the deck of the ship surrounded by another bubble. Looking past the layer separating the Fishman’s island I saw things that only existed in fairy tales. Mermaids, mermen, and fish people. They had a fully functioning society thousands of miles beneath the water’s surface.

“Oh it’s so pretty!” Mykhayla said from beside me on deck, she looked at it in utter awe, after about ten seconds she turned on her heel and started back into the ship, “Okay, I’m board now.”

I just sighed as I waited for us to dock, despite the rumors of problems that human pirates have caused on this island we weren’t stopped or even given any trouble when we docked.

“Mykhayla!”I yelled when I jumped off the deck and onto the land, “Come on! Let’s go look around!”

“Okay!” She yelled and ran out to meet me, “But we’re getting candy first.”

“Maybe.” I told her, “Be good until then.”

“Fine.”She pouted.

I smiled to myself.

“Heat!” Kidd yelled to the tall man, “You’re babysitting these two today!”

“Yes sir.” He said slightly depressed knowing what might transpire.

Mykhayla was bouncing up and down because she could spend the entire day with Heat, bothering him. I sighed knowing some of the things she would probably do to try and get to his hair.

“It’s okay, Heat.” Killer said coming up behind the taller man, “I’ll go with them.”

“Thank you.” Heat said to Killer before running off after the captain.

“So where do you two want to go?” Killer asked as we started walking.

“Candy store!” Mykhayla shouted.

“Later.” I told her, “Just to look around town.”

She pouted again, but made no complaints towards it.

~~Hours later~~

We returned to the ship at about sunset, we hadn’t really gotten anything at all, but I needed a few more knives.

“That was eventful.” Killer said when we got back.

“I’d say.”I said to him. We had a lot of fun just walking around town and seeing the beauty that is the island.

“I’m happy.” Mykhayla said with a smile on her face.

“I know you are,” I half laughed, “You got your candy.”

She just giggled and ran off to our room to put all our things away.

“So,” I started to Killer, “Do you think I should start dinner now, or do you think the crew will be eating out at a bar tonight?”

“Probably a bar, if I know my captain.” He told me, “We can try and find them if you want.”

I shook my head, “I’ll make dinner for us tonight. They can have dinner there. So what would you like for dinner?”

“Ambergar!” Mykhayla yelled as she came back to where we were standing.

“Are ambergars okay with you Killer?” I asked the first mate.

“They’re fine, thank you.”

I smiled and headed up to the kitchen to start.

—The next day—

“Almost done.” I told Mykhayla as we brought the second last crate to the kitchen.

“Yay!” She sang.

We both turned to get the last one but stopped when we saw Killer in the doorway with the last crate.

“I figured I’d help you two out.” He said sheepishly.

“Thanks Killer.”I told him as he set it down on the floor.

“Least I can do to say thanks for last night’s meal.” He said and rubbed the back of his head.

“We’re the cooks on this ship, Killer.” I told him, “It’s our job to feed you guys.”

“Still.” He told me.

“Whatever.”I said and shrugged him off, “Can you go tell captain we’ve gotten all the supplies we’ll need for our voyage up?”

“Sure thing.” He said and left.

I turned around to start unpacking and putting away the food, only to see, Mykhayla standing there with a big smile on her face, hands right next to it in the shape of a heart.

I looked at her like she had sprouted a second head.

“What?” I questioned, not wanting to play a stupid game with her.

“Aww, you’re so cute together!” She gushed.

I raised an eyebrow, “What the hell are you talking about, woman?”

“Did you not you see that cute moment?” She asked, “He was so gushing for you!”

At this point I don’t know whether to smack her, walk away, or ignore her all together and carry on with our work.

I decided on the last one. I rolled my eyes and pushed past her to put it all away.

“I think you’re just hiding your embarrassment!” She sang.

“Go bother Kidd.” I hissed at her.

“But I wanna help!” She whined.

“Then shut up.” I snapped.

“Fine.” She pouted again.

–Two Hours Later–

“We’re heading off!” Kidd yelled at the crew, “Prepare to move on, and move to the New World.”

The bubble blew up around us again, and we moved forward to the surface. The ocean from underneath was still probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. And then we reached the surface.

The boat went straight up, almost causing me to lose my balance, then evened out perfectly as the bubble popped. We were back at the surface. I took a deep breath in of the fresh air. It was nice down there and all, but I felt a little trapped in there.

“Keep going forward!” Kidd yelled, and the crew pushed on to the next island we would come across.

–Later That Night–

I stood under a gazebo to stay out of the rain with the rest of the crew. Kidd was sitting on a crate reading the news paper.

The war had unfolded, Fire Fist Ace survived, along with Mugiwadano Luffy, and Whitebeard. Blackbeard escaped somehow, and Luffy returned to the war zone in order to pay respects to those who had fallen; and deliver a message to his crew.

Mykhayla whispered in my ear, “Wow, he’s actually reading something.”

I chuckled at her and rolled my eyes.

“What’s this about the ox bell?” He asked.

“Doesn’t that have something to do with new years?” I looked at Killer knowing he’d have an accurate answer.

He nodded, “The ox bell is rung every year on new years, eight times to signify the end of one year and another eight times to signify the start of the new coming year, hence the sixteen bells.”

“Mugiwada thinks he can take over for whitebeard, does he?” Kidd said to himself, “We’ll see who’ll reach one piece first.”

“You don’t know what’s waiting for you out there!” The captain to the crew we beat said breaking his concentration.

“What are you talking about?” Kidd asked as he got up from his seat and stalked over to them.

“This is an absolutely terrible place!” He told Kidd, “It’s nothing like you’d ever imagine. Please, let us go. All we want to do is go back to paradise!”

Kidd’s face twisted into a sinister snarl as he said, “You mean the first half of the grand line? If you aren’t prepared to die for your dream,” Metal objects began shaking and moving towards Kidd’s arm,”Then stay out of this sea!” And with that he viciously attacked the helpless crew with his metallic powers, and crucified them all.

“I’m coming for you next, Mugiwada!” He shouted and starting laughing maniacly.

“Wow, issues much.” Mykhayla said, making the captain stop dead in his thought and glare at her.
