What If It Were Real?(Part 18)

I sipped tea from my mug as I walked down the forest path to get to the submarine. Killer never would have let me go, but lucky for me, I was easily able to coax Wire into giving me the information that I needed.

I knew I didn’t look threatening. After all I was walking towards them in sweat pants, a fitted tank top, baggy hoodie, and sneakers. My hair had grown out enough for me to be able to pull it back into a pony tail. The only thing on me that they could see was the big cup of tea that I was sipping on as I walked.

“Who goes there?!” A voice demanded as I approached the submarine.

“Hi.” I greeted with a smile, “Is Law available to speak by chance?”

“Who are you?” He demanded.

“Torri.” I told him, “Please tell him Torri is here and needs to speak him it’s urgent.”

The man looked at me skeptically but disappeared for a moment anyway.

“He says you may come aboard.” He told me and lowered a ladder down for me.

I somehow managed to climb to the top even with the hot cup of tea in my hands. My feet touched the deck and I was greeted by about 4 men. I smiled at them.

They escorted me down below deck to a room where they just nodded. Out of politeness I knocked anyway.

“Come in.” The smooth voice of the Surgeon of death called to me.

I opened the door and closed it behind me.

“Good morning.” I greeted.

He looked up from his news paper and did a double take at me before smirking.

“I switched you with Eustass-ya.” He said in disbelief.

“You might have thought you did.” I told him, “But in reality you switched my captain with my best friend, Mykhayla. You know that blonde that you bought ice cream for the other day. That was very kind of you by the way.”

“And you want me to switch them back, I assume.” He said and leaned back in his chair.

I nodded as I took a sip from my mug, “But of course I’m not so stupid as to think that you would be willing to do this for free or out of the goodness of your heart. But I do propose a trade with you.”

“What could you possibly have that I could want?” He asked.

“Information.” I told him with a smirk, “I’m on Kidd’s crew not because of my cooking skills, but because I know things. That’s the only reason why he keeps me around.”

“And you want to trade second hand information for your friends to return to normal?” He asked me.

I shook my head after I took another sip, “I don’t tell Kidd everything I know.” I told him, “I tell him what he needs to know. Which isn’t very much. If you would like to pick my brain, figuratively of course, all I would ask in return would be my friend and captain back in their correct bodies.”

Trafalgar gestured to a seat next to me, “Let’s talk then, Torri-ya.”

“For the last time! That is not how a man walks!” Kidd yelled at Mykhayla.

“Well you don’t sit like I do.” She retorted.

“Yeah, because I’m not a girl, wench!” He yelled.

“So that gives you the excuse to not act like I do, but I don’t get the excuse to not act like you because I’m a girl!” She questioned, “That’s stupid!”

“You’re stupid!” He yelled.

“You’re stupid!” She yelled back.

“Not as stupid as you are!” He countered.

“Well I’m not as dumb as you are, that’s for sure!” She yelled back.

“When I get my body back!” Kidd yelled at her, “I’ll,”

“You’ll what!?” She demanded.

“Hey!” I said coming onto the deck, with a mug of warm tea in my hands.

“Where the hell have you been!?” Killer demanded running past Kidd and Mykhayla, who stopped their argument to look at me.

“Places.” I told him with a smile as I took a sip of my tea.

“Places!?” Killer demanded, “You’ve been gone since dawn!”

“Yeah, I’ve been places.” I assured him as I took another sip.

“I want you to realize the hell that I’ve been facing by myself since you left. Those two haven’t stopped yelling at one another since they got up! And it wasn’t fun to find you gone this morning either.” Killer told me.

“Don’t worry.” I assured my blonde, “Everything will be fine.”

“How the hell can you say that!?” Killer exclaimed, “Our captain and Mykhayla are stuck in the wrong bodies, Trafalgar hates us so there is no way he’s going switch them back for us, and now all of a sudden my girlfriend is keeping secrets from me that could get us all killed.”

“Well look on the bright side, Killer.” Mykhayla chimed in, “At least Torri is back.”

He turned around to yell at the red head only to see a petite blonde standing behind him.

“Mykhayla?” He asked, staring down at her.

“Yes?” She asked and cocked her head to the side.

“Oh thank the heavens!” Killer cried, “You two are back to normal!”

“It seems so.” Kidd said as he looked over his body, “Now, where the hell is Trafalgar, I’m going to kill that bastard!” Kidd then stormed off trying to find the man he was after.

“I’m going to go change into something that’s actually good to wear.” Mykhayla told us and went below deck.

Killer stared at the spot on the deck they were arguing on before being brought back to reality with a loud sip I made. He turned to look at me.

“What did you do?” He questioned.

“I made a deal with the devil.” I told him and stared into the red tinged liquid in my mug.

“Think you can make deals with him more often?” He asked, “I know I was complaining earlier, but it was actually a lot of fun to watch them argue.”

I took another sip and said, “We’ll see.”
