Jealousy(Laxus Dreyar One-Shot)

JEALOUSY: to be fearful of losing a partner or possession to a rival.

It was a few months since the return of the main portion of Fairy Tail; a few months since the lightning dragon slayer and Fairy Tail’s Flower Hime had gotten together; a few weeks since Laxus had returned to the guild, as per gildart’s orders; and in the same time Laxus hd returned, the entire population of the guild had learned bout the two being a couple. Laxus was intent on showing it.

“Hey, Camilia! Let’s see if your sword is stronger than Grey’s ice one!” Natsu suggested loudly as practically threw himself between his adopted sister and Laxus.

Camilia smiled, “Alright, tell Grey I’ll challenge him in just a moment.”

“You going down Grey! She accepts!” He yelled running back over to he guys making details about a bet they were most likely making.

Camilia watched her brother go off, before turning her full attention back to her boyfriend that had his power emanating out of him in anger.

“Laxus.” She called to him softly. His power instantly stopped and the angry look he had on face softened to a ghost of a smile as he looked at the yellowed eye girl.

“We talked about this, remember?” She told the dragon slayer, “I can still hang out with all of my friends, and you get missions with the thunder god tribe.”

“I know.” He sighed, “It just takes some time to get used to.”

She smiled lightly and placed a small hand on his brawny shoulder, “I’m not gonna leave you for another man.” She told him.

“I know.” He said, he then reached and cupped her cheek with massive hand and kissed her forehead affectionately, “Now go kick, Grey’s ass.” He told her returning his attention back to his drink in front of him, “I’m routing for you.”

Camilia smiled and kissed his cheek before leaving the large man along and going outside where the majority of the male population was awaiting her arrival, just to see if steel trumps ice or not.

For a few moments the guild was quiet. But it was soon broken, not by the mages outside, but rather by all the girls huddled around the bar giggling and cheering for an unknown reason.

“I wonder how she’s going to react?” Lisanna’s squeal made it’s way to the Dragon slayer’s ears.

“She’ll be flattered, that’s for sure.” Erza added.

“I never thought this would happen to her.” Cana said, “Watch her stutter and turn redder than a rose when she finds out.”

“A poppy’s redder than a rose.” Lisanna corrected the card mage’s metaphor.

“Did she teach you that?” The brunette asked the white haired girl.

The girls giggled again.

“I say we tell her when she comes in again.” Mirajane suggested.

“Tell who what?” Laxus asked sitting down at the bar placing his glass down and motioning for Mira to refill it.

The girls giggled and whispered asking one anther if they should tell him or not.

“Camilia.” Levy finally said, “She has-

“The elemental sword trumping champion!” Natsu yelled bursting through the doors. Right behind him was Elfman, on Elfman’s right shoulder, Camilia sat perched and waved slightly.

“She trumped not only Gajeel’s Iron sword, and Max’s sand sword, But the steel-like ice sword from Grey! All with a cactuse sword!”

“S-several cacti, actually.” She corrected, but not too many heard her over the the cheering of the guys.

“Cami-chan, congratulations!” Lisanna yelled to her friend.

Elfman finally let her down, right in front of the bar.

“You aren’t going to believe this!” Evergreen said and grabbed her arm dragging her to the center of the girls, before she could say anything.

There were a few moments of silence, then;

“Camilia?” Erza questioned her friend placing a hand on her forehead as her face grew crimson, fr redder than the Titania’s hair.

“I-ii-i-issssss this true?” She finally asked the girls around her. Her large eyes dilated to be quite small.

They all giggled lightly and nodded.

“It’s as it says, Camilia.” Mirajane told her, “Jason has asked if you wanted to star not only in an interview but a photo shoot for sorcerer’s weekly. What do you say?”

“I-i-i-i-i-i-i-i.” Camilia gripped the paper in her hands slightly tighter and took a deep breath to try and compose herself before speaking.

“I don’t know what to say.” She finally said quietly.

“Why not go for it, Cami-chan.” Lisanna encouraged.

“It’s a lot of fun.” Mirajane to the purple haired girl, “and if you aren’t comfertable in certain outfit, they can always find ways to make it work.”

“This could be really good for you.” Erza told her, “You have a beautiful body, Camilia, why not show it off for once.”

“I still don’t know.” She said, “What do you think, Laxus?”

The blonde paused from the sip he was about to take from his drink. He could have told her he didn’t want to do it, and that he wanted her to be for his eyes and his alone. But he had a good idea about how she would react.

“If you wanna do it, I’ll be behind you all the way.” He told her, “It’s your choice, not mine.”

She nodded and looked back at the paper in her hands.

“I’ll think about it.” She said.

–The Next Day–

“Camilia!” Happy called gaining the plant mage’s attention.

“What is it happy?” She asked politely.

“Natsu and the others are outside having a battle, no magic! We wanted to know if you wanted to join in? A-and maybe Laxus too~.” He told her and slowly started to cower away.

Cmilia smiled and picked him up from his mid flight, and held him close to her chest.

“I’d like too.” she smiled.

Happy blushed then almost fainted from the glare he had received from the blond mage next to the yellow eyed girl.

“Laxus?” She asked.

“I’m good.” He told her and went back to his drink.

She nodded, “Let’s go, Happy.”

“A-Aye.”He said.

Laxus finished off the last of his drink as his girlfriend left with a MALE exceed in her arms. As he sat down he asked Mira for a much stronger drink than the one he had previously downed.

–Two weeks Later–

Laxus and his team were just climbing the last step up to the Fairy Tail guild. They were all tired and hoping to come back to good friends, some food, and a small amount of rest before going out again.

Laxus was more looking forward to seeing Camilia’s smiling face greeting him, then embracing him, and asking him how his mission went, before asking about the details. It was a simple routine, but it was one he had greatly enjoyed, one he had looked forward to. HAD, being the key word.

The second the doors had been opened he was greeted with the sight of his girlfriend over Grey’s right shoulder, her left wrist held by his left hand. The entire guild cheering, and Camilia giggling.

Hardly two seconds after the doors opened, Camilia looked up from Grey’s back. Her face red from the blood rushing to head and laughing.

She managed inbetween giggles, “Hey, how was the mission, succesful, neh?”

The room froze knowing who had come back.

“Aw.” He said and entered with the rest of his teaming walking towards his usual table on the other end of the guild.

“Gimme a sec, and I’ll be right over.” She told him.

Camilia swiftly grabbed onto the material of Grey’s pants on the back of his thigh.

“Sorry, Grey.” She told him, “But I can’t play anymore.”

She threw her legs up over her(And Grey’s) head, before bending them at the knees and forcing them over the rest of her body. Thus propelling her to her feet, and throwing Grey off. Then throwing him down to the floor, twisting her left wrist and pinning his wrists behind his back.

Grey chuckled, “I guess you win this time, Camilia.”

“You keep getting better.” She told him as she got up and offered him a hand.

Grey accepted thankfully, promising that he’d beat her one day.

Camilia left the rowdy group, much to everyone’s dissatisfaction.

She hurried over to Laxus where he sat waiting patiently.

“So how was it?” she asked, before narrowing her eyes at the liquid that was in his glass, “Isn’t it a little early for you to have something that strong?”

“It was a long mission, Camilia.” He told her.

In the back of his mind he made a mental note that Grey was going to be the first one he killed.

–Three days later–

“You denied the request?” Natsu asked confused.

Camilia nodded, “I accepted the interview, but the photo shoot.” She shook her head, “I think I’ll leave that to Mira and Lucy and Evergreen. It’s just not my thing.

The amount of relief that washed over Laxus when he heard that his flower wasn’t going to be going out for the world to see was beyond words.

“Guess that means you have a lot of time to train, neh?” Gajeel asked the flower mage, who promptly nodded and replied, “And I’ll be happy to train with you any time, Gajeel.”

Without even thinking about it, Laxus ordered another drink at twice the strength.

–the next day–

Laxus and his team were out on another mission. Camilia was at the bar with all the other girls.

“Don’t you think, Laxus is a little…” Levy trailed off looking for the right word.

“possessive?” Lucy asked.

Camilia shook her head, “Laxus isn’t possessive, just, really, really, really, jealous. And doesn’t really know how to show it through anything other than anger.”

“And you put up with it.” Canna said taking another swig of her sake.

“I honestly wonder what I’m gonna do.” Camilia told the rest of the female population, “I love him, but it’s gotten kinda hard to handle. And when I try to talk to him about it, he evades it saying he’s not the jealous type. What do you guys think I should do?”

“Maybe making him see it your way would be good.” Lisanna suggested, “You know be jealouse about him, and make him see what it’s like.”

“How would that work?” SHe asked, “He doesn’t really hang around any girls except for me and Ever- huh! Li-chan! You’re a genius!” She yelled and embraced her best friend tightly.

“No problem, Cami-chan.” She laughed.

–Eight days later–

Laxus and the thundergod tribe came through the doors like usual, being greeted by their companions.

Laxus scanned the room before his eyes landed a certain purple haired plant mage in the far corner of the hall.

He made his way over to her. He was glad to see her by herself for once instead of in the arms of another guy, like last time.

“Yo, Camilia.” He said and smiled as he sat down adjacent from her.

“Yo.” She said boardly, not looking up from the book she had in front of her.

He waited patiently for her to finish her page, but after she flipped the page, twice, without acknowledgment him.

“Camilia.” He called trying to get her attention.

“Nani?” She asked almost bitterly.

This made the lightning dragon slayer raise an eyebrow.

“Did I do something to piss you off?” He questioned her, placing his left elbow on the table and rested his head on his hand.

“Wow!” Camilia said sarcastically snapping her book shut, “Give the boy a prize, he guessed right!”

As she prepared to rise and leave Laxus stopped her by grabbing her arm.

“What’s wrong?” He asked her quietly, his eyes begging her for an answer. Laxus could take defeat, he could take being beaten by a girl, he could take a lot of things. But Camilia mad at him, again, after he’d just gotten her back, that was not one thing he could handle.

“Where’s your precise Ever-chan?” She demanded from him.

“What about, Ever?” He asked cocking his head to the side. Now he was just plain confused.

“You have been gone a week, on a mission, with her.” She stated plainly, “How am I supposed to react to that, huh?”

Laxus blink and smirked, “You’re jealous.” He called her out on it.

“I am not!” she insisted, “I just don’t like you hanging out with any girl alone, other than me!”

“Camilia, you know Evergreen and I are just friends. She’s kinda like a little sister to me.” He told her, “Besides, I love you and I’m not gonna leave you for her. I thought you knew that.”

Camillia pulled her arm from Laxus grasp and crossed her arms over her chest, before telling him, “Natsu’s my brother.” She told him, “Grey, Elfman, Nab, Max, Romeo, Freed, Bixslow, Gajeel, Jet. Their all my friends, Laxus. And I love you too, and would never leave you for any of them.”

Realization finally dawned on the Blonde man, as he scratched the back of his head and evaded his gaze.

“I guess I have been kind of, you know, jealous.” He admitted.

Camilia knelt down on the bench and put her crossed arms on the table leaning on them.

“Laxus, you almost gave poor Happy a heart attack from one of your glares.” She told him, ” ‘Kind of’ and ‘jealous’ have become understatements.”

“I can’t hep it.” He started.

“I know.” She told him, “Being part dragon it’s in your nature to want to protect your mate. But protect me from a cat! Really?”

“He was cuddling your chest!” He defended.

“In which case I’m jealous of your overly large and furry coat!” She told him narrowing her eyes at it.

“And why’s that?” He almost demanded.

“It’s blocking my view of a perfectly, sculpted body.” She said stressing ‘perfectly’.

Laxus sighed, “Alright.” He said in defeat, “You’re mine, so I guess other guys stealing you isn’t going to be a problem.”

“Laxus,” Camilia cut in, “If there is guy stupid enough to try and take me way from you, I’d be the first one to hit him.”

He chuckled, “Okay.” He said, “But I get to glare when your wrestling or fighting with one of the other guys.”

“No death glares.” She warned.

“No death glares.” He repeated.

“And for the record,” She added, “Happy is the only one I carry like that, and he likes Charla.”

“That’s good to know.” He chuckled.

“And no ordering strong alcohol in order to try an cope with it.” She added.

“Deal.” He told her.

“Deal.” Camilia smiled.

And with that, Laxus shed his coat like an extra skin, just for Camilia.

Her yellow eyes sparkled at him, before she lunged and wrapped her arms around his waist best she could, being only a third his size.

They enjoyed the silence between them. Camilia curled up at Laxus’ side, Laxus leaning back against the wall, hand resting on Camilia’s shoulder, him smiling down at her, Camilia’s face buried in his side.

Many moments passed, as the life within the guild returned to its normal routine.

Then Camilia’s eyes shot open, she had suddenly remembered something.

“Oh yeah.” She said to no one in particular, “How was the mission?”

Laxus smirked down at her as he tousled her short, dark purple locks lightly.

Maybe jealousy wasn’t that bad.

Flowers(A Laxus Dreyar Two Shot Part 2)

Seven long years had passed since not only Camilia had passed, but Natsu and the others disappeared.

The guild was in ruin and in a large dept to Orge, a new guild in Marigold that had taken over. Hardly anyone remained in Fairy tail after the mysterious disappearance of their nakama.

It was quiet in the guild, everyone was in their own thoughts as the doors flew open wide.

“We’ve come to collect this month’s payment.” One of the Orge grunts cackled as he entered the hall with his team.

“We don’t have it this month.” Macao told him, “No good jobs have come in lately, we’ll pay double next month. I promise.”

The leader clicked his tounge to the roof of his mouth in thought, “That’s not what we agreed on.”

“There isn’t much else I can do.” Macao told him sadly, “Please tell your guild master that I will pay double next month.”

“No can do.” He snarled, “These were the terms we agreed upon.”

“We never would have accepted if we knew how high the interest would have been.” Wakaba stepped in.

“Well then,” The leader started, “We’ll just have to kill a little time!”

Just as he was about to knock over the nearest table, he mysteriously fell face first onto the floor.

“What the hell!?” He howled.

Through the opened door a small figure covered in a dark brown cloak stepped through the door way and stood before everyone.

“Who the hell are you?!” He snapped.

The figure didn’t flinch, it didn’t look up either.

“I believe that should be my question.” It retorted. The voice was familiar to all of Fairy Tail, yet it somehow wasn’t. And it was impossible to tell if the person was male or female by their voice.

“Who do you think you are barging in on a business meeting?!” He demanded.

“And what meeting would that be?” It asked calmly.

The leader smirked, “Fairy Tail went down hill seven years ago.” He told the figure, “Everyone in Fior knows that.”

“I’m not exactly from Fior.” It told them.

His smirk faltered slightly, “Fairy Tail began to fail, we intervened and helped them out. And now they have a debt to repay. And they can’t this month, so we’re gonna take what we can!”

The rest of his team cheered, but before they could move a single muscle they were all tossed around by an unseen force.

The figure stepped into the hall after all the grunts had fallen to the floor. It opened it’s cloak enough to alow a hand out, then reached down and grabbed the leader of the team by the neck and hauled it up.

It’s grip was that of near death, the leader wiggled and attempted to struggle from it’s grasp, but it was no use. His face was beginning to turn blue.

“I’m going to make this clear.” It snarled at the leader, “If you, your team mates, or anyone from Orge ever touch anyone from this guild again, I will not hesitate to kill you.”

And with that he was dropped to the floor, along with a sack that the figure was carrying under it’s cloak.

“How much does Fairy Tail still owe your guild?” It asked calmly.

“H-huh?” The leader asked just barely gaining his breath back.

“Did I stutter?!” I demanded, “How much, does Fairy Tail still owe!?”

“2 million jewels.” He said apprehensively.

The figure knelt down next to the sack and opened it. It carefully counted out 2 million jewels and tossed the bundles to the leader.

“Now get out of my sight.” It hissed.

The Orge grunts hurriedly picked p the jewels and ran out of the guild as fast as they could.

Everyone who was present in Fairy Tail paused and looked at the cloaked figure. First wondering who he was, and second, why he payed their debt for them.

“This really did go down hill.” It said at last, “I was hoping that the rumors weren’t going to be true when I got back. I guess Natsu and the other’s really did disappear then, huh?”

No one spoke for a long time, then Macao spoke up.

“Who are you?” He asked apprehensively, “Why did you pay the debt? And how do you know about our nakama?”

There was a small pause.

“They were my nakama at one point too, Macao.” It said softly, “I payed the debt because, well, I am a member of Fairy Tail. So why shouldn’t I pitch in to help the guild out? And as for who I am, well.”

The figure stopped right there and allowed the cloak to fall to the ground.

The figure they had assumed to be a man was a woman. She had short, pixie cut dark purple hair, and bright golden eyes lined to be dark.

Everyone was completely still staring at the girl before them. They were all sure that she had died all those years ago.

“Gomena.” she finally said, “I know what you all must be thinking. But Seven years ago I had to fake my death. My father’s associates and my brothers would have hunted me and everyone down if they knew I was still alive. And I couldn’t let that happen. So I requested a favor from master. I went into hiding, and took a large quest for when after I recovered enough.”

“Camilia,” Macao said softly like he was about to approach a scared animal, “You were dead, we were at the funeral.”

“and how many of you saw my body?” She asked raising a good point.

“Only the master.” Dorry said keeping a large piece of meat in his mouth as he spoke.

“Exactly.” she said, “Look, I know what I put you through was inexcusable, but it had to be done. I would rather see you guys shed tears then see you dead, and have it be my fault. And now that I’m back, I would like to start making it up to you.” She paused and looked to all of them, “If you will still alow me to be part of the guild, master Macao.”

He hadn’t even need to open his mouth to reply, the dog pile of a hug she had received from everyone was enough for her to know.

Tears streamed from her honey eyes as she embraced everyone.

“Arigoto, mena.” she choked out.

–days later–

“The place looks great, Camilia.” Bisca said as she looked around the hall.

“Arigoto.” the purple haired girl sighed, “I’ve been trying.”

“You’ve been doing a good job.” Alzack said coming up behind his wife, “How would you feel about coming with us to see if we can find the others?”

Camilia instantly stopped, her lips formed a thin line, and her eyes went down. Bisca elbowed Alzack in the stomach and he instantly regretted asking.

Out of everyone those lost in the island were probably the ones taking her death the hardest. And then they’d find out that she was in hiding these past seven years. It would be a long ride back to Marigold.

“No thank you.” Camilia finally said turning back to them and smiling brightly, “I think I’ll stay behind and keep things together here while everyone’s gone.”

“Good idea.” He said, “We’ll be back in a few days. hopefully with the others.”

Camilia nodded and watched as they left.

A part of her wished that everyone was alright, but another part, that more realistic part, told her that no matter how hard she wished, it had been seven years, the odds of them being alive were very slim.

She sighed to herself and grabbed her tool belt before climbing up the ladder. She thought it best to keep those ideas out of her mind, and remain content with whatever the end result may be. But she couldn’t dwell on those thoughts for too long, after all, she had a roof she had to fix.

“You didn’t want to go with them, Romeo?” Macao asked his son, whom had his nose in a book at the moment.

“No.” Romeo replied as he closed his book and placed it in front of him on the table, “It’s been seven years, it’s best if we don’t get our hopes up about something like this, especially because it’s just a tip.”

“He has point.” Camilia put in, “We have no idea what happened to them.”

Everyone let out a deep sigh. While they al missed the main part of the guild, with almost everyone else out looking for them, the place seemed that much more empty.

The doors to the guild soon burst open. Out of habit Camilia placed her right hand on the shieth of her sword, ready to draw with her left. But that reaction was soon dropped when she saw the familiar faces of her nakama.

“We’re back!” Natsu called into the hall.

Romeo’s face broke out into a large smile as he started to cry in happiness.

“So young!” Nab yelled.

“They haven’t aged at all!” Laki cried.

Camilia placed her hand over her mouth in an attempt to stop herself from crying out. And while that helped, it didn’t do anything to stop the tears from falling down her face.

The first one to notice the girl was non other than her make shift older sister.

“C-camilia?” Erza asked softly, as if scared that if she spoke her name too loudly then the image that was in front of her would disappear forever.

The girl nodded, without removing her hand from her face.

The two girls lunged for each other and wrapped each other in a tight embrace as they sobbed.

“How did?” Erza questioned but couldn’t bring herself to speak more than that.

“Gomena.” Camilia cried into Erza’s shoulder, “I shouldn’t have, but I didn’t have any other choice.”

“You can tell us later.” Freed told her as he grabbed the girl from Erza’s arms, anime tears falling down his cheeks, “We’ve all missed you.”

Camilia returned the ruins mage’s hug instantly. And she was glad. She was glad that everyone was finally home, where they should be. Well, almost everyone one.

“So that’s what you went through the past seven years.” Levy was the first to speak after Master explained what happened to them on Tenrou, and Camilia about her story.

“It’s nothing compared to what you guys have been though.” She said embracing Lisanna tighter, “You literally missed seven years of your life.”

“And you spent seven dead, Cami-chan.” Lisanna told her best friend.

“But we’re both back now, neh, Li-chan?” She smiled.

“I say we celebrate not only our return, but Camilia’s aswell!” Master yelled, everyone cheered in agreement.

Booze were brought out, food wa prepared, and fights broke out. It was once again the Fairy Tail that everyone had grown to love and call home.

“Neh, Cami-chan, I almost forgot.” Lisanna called to her best friend as they finally let go of each other.

“What is it Li-chan?” Camilia asked, but her eyes were stuck on the brawl happening before them, she couldn’t help but smile.

“Laxus-san came to Tenrou and helped us out. He’s back in Marigold too. But I don’t know if master will end his suspension or not yet.” She said the last bit more to herself than to Camilia, but at the sound of the lightning dragon slyer’s name, Camilia’s heart sank from it’s soaring spot.

It’s not only that, but the second the rest of the guild heard Lisanna speak Laxus’ name to Camilia, almost everything froze.

“Soka?” Camilia said after a few moments of silence, “I hope he’s doing well then.”

“Is something wrong, Cami-chan?” Lisanna asked.

Camilia shook her head, “It’s nothing you should consern yourself with.” She assured her friend.

Lisanna looked at Camilia skeptykly for a moment before nodding in understanding.

The entire guild took a breath as Camilia changed the subject to Lisanna’s lime in Edolas.

Two days after everyone had returned from Tenrou and things had begun to fall into the regular pattern of things. It was raining very hard. Most people stayed inside in an attempt to stay dry.

But there was one person who did not. This person was walking along the edge of the forest with nothing for cover but the trees and a dark brown cloak that covered them completely.

This person seemed to be walking without a purpose, or at least that would be what it looked like to someone who saw them. But in fact they were walking with a purpose. And it became apparent when a small house came into sight, and they walked up to the door of said house.

They raised their fist to the door and knocked several times before waiting. Moments later the door was opened.

A large, muscular, blond man with a lightning bolt shaped scar on his right eye looked very surprised when he looked down at his unexpected company.

He didn’t say a word as he stared down at the small figure before him.

“Do you have a few minutes to spair?” Camilia aked softly, “I just wanna talk, if it’s okay.”

Her words brought Laxus out of his trance. His surprised looked turned to a frown as he moved away from the door.

“Get your ars in here before you catch a cold!” He barked. Camilia slipped in and pushed her hood off revealing her pixie cut purple hair and yellow eyes to her old friend, “I get you like the rain, but you’re cold blooded for heaven’s sake!”

He went on grumbling to himself as he walked back into the kitchen.

Camilia hung her soaking cloak up on an empty hook, and slipper her boots off before stepping onto the hard wood floor.

“Wait in the living room.” Laxus told her as she stepped into the kitchen. She nodded, even though he couldn’t see her, and did as she was told.

Camilia settled herself on the far end of the sofa, waiting patiently for the blond to finish what he was doing.

As she waited she looked around the room.

It was small. In the center of the room there was a dark maple coffee table on top of a fuzzy black rug. In front of it was the black leather sofa she was sitting on. Opposite to the sofa were two identical leather easy chairs on either side of a small brick fire place. The walls were painted a spring like green, that was several shades lighter than the green muscle shirt she had on. On the wall opposite to that of the door leading to the kitchen, the wall was lined with book shelves. there was only enough room for the two doors on that wall. One was a bathroom, she knew because the door was opened. The other door she assumed to be Laxus’ bedroom. Camilia knew he didn’t like people looking into his room, so he had a habit of closing the door all the time.

Camilia slowly raised from her spot on the sofa and walked over to one of the book shelves. One of the shelves on the case closest to the wall with the fireplace had nothing on it but pictures.

She smiled remembering so many of these. She had never known Laxus to be nostalgic. There was a picture of him and the thunder god tribe, one of him when he was younger with his grandfather, one of the entire guild, and then se couldn’t help but alow a smile to grace her lips as she saw the last one.

It was of her and Laxus, the day after she had gained the title of S rank mage. She had been so proud, and Lisanna was with her all through out her own exam. Laxus was the first one to congradulate her when they returned to Marigold.

She was smiling so big at the camera, her hands were folded infront of her, and she noticed the small blush she had over her cheeks. She recalled how shy she used to be. Laxus on the other hand was standing tall next to her, arms crossed, head phones on, and he mostly wore his I’m-so-board look, but she could easily see the faint smile on his face in the photo.

“I made you some tea.” Laxus said as he came out the kitchen two steaming mugs in his hands.

Camilia turned away from the pictures and smiled.

She took a seat next to Laxus and thanked him he passed her, her mug.

She took a small sip of the hot liquid to both warm and compose herself. When she pulled the mug away from her mouth, she couldn’t help but smile one again. Laxus had remembered how she liked her tea. No milk, no sugar, but two tea spoons of honey.

she carefully placed her mug on the coffee table before her, laced her fingers together her lap, and pressed her lips together into a thin line.

She could feel Laxus’ gaze on her out of the corner of his eye.

“I’m sorry.” Was the first thing she let him hear, “What I did and what I said that day, it wasn’t right, and I regret it. And I know that I can’t blame it on my anger at the time, or my need to save everyone. I don’t care if you forgive me or not, but I would like you to know that I’m sorry for it. And not a day went by since you were expelled that I haven’t thought back to what happened, and I hadn’t wished it different.”

“You think my expulsion was your fault?” Laxus asked her.

Camilia finailly looked up at Laxus, her eyes told all the truth, she nodded, “I told master that you deserved the worst punishment possible, because you hurt our nakama, and almost blew up the town.”

Laxus placed his mug on the table, then threw his left arm over the back of the couch to talk to her better.

Camilia got what he was trying to do. She pulled her right leg up onto the couch and turned her back to the armrest.

“Even if you didn’t say that, I still would have gotten expelled.” He told her, “I’m actually glad you were there.”

She gave him a confused look.

He smiled softly, “You acted fast and did what your instincts told you.” He told her, “You put everyone asleep so they wouldn’t partake in it, you freed the girls, and knocked some sence into me. I never should have even thought of trying what I did.”

“Why did you?” Camilia asked without thinking, “It’s been bugging me for a while. I understood your plan and execution, but I never got your motive.”

Laxus’ smile turned into a scowl.

“I was out on a job.” He started, “The guys and I had just finished up and were gonna head home the following morning. I was a bar, I over heard a whole bunch of drunks talking about guilds. Fairy Tail came up. They said it had to be the weakest most pathetic guild in Fior, and they didn’t understand why the king just didn’t close them down. I guess I wanted drunks like that to talk highly about- What the hell are you laughing at!?”

Camilia was giggling softly at what was being said.

“Gomena.” She giggled, before she calmed enough to talk normally, “You actually cared enough about what some random strangers in a bar with nothing better to do than rip on everyone and everything’s opinions? Laxus, I’m disappointed with you. The Laxus I know would never care about what anyone he didn’t care about said about himself, his nakama, or the guild.”

“It wasn’t the first time I heard it though.” He defended.

She smirked at him, “And I believe it, but you need to understand those people are everywhere, and they’re made to critique everything, even if it’s good. Fairy Tail is strong, and more importantly it’s home. But I guess I don’t have to tell you that, do I?”

“No. No you don’t.” Laxus said, “And if you can forgive me and sturdiness, I forgive you.”

Camilia beamed up at him, “I forgave you the second I realized I-uh, I had to leave.” She became slightly nervous thinking he’d see through her attempted cover up.

“Then I guess we’re forgiven then, huh?” He smiled leaning forward to be more at her eye level. Camilia smiled again.

“Mind if I ask you a question now?” Laxus inquired.

Camilia rolled her eyes but then nodded as she picked her mug up and held it to her lips.

“Why did you have to leave?” He asked.

Camilia’s smile fell as she lowered the cup to her lap.

“My father came looking for me.” She said slowly, “I fought him, and sent everyone else in the guild away after Natsu burned my mark off. I managed to kill him. Then Grey froze me, because Levy had a way to reverse what had happened. I figured why not. It ended up working, but I knew if I stayed at the guild then his associates and my brothers would have come looking for me and the guild. So I faked my own death. went up to mountains for a while, layed low and trained. After about three years I went out on the quest master had given me before I left. Got a lot of money from it. But I also found out I was still being hunted. They didn’t all believe I was dead. Took a full year to complete the quest. And after that I went back into hiding for another three years. Because they never found any other evidence of me being alive, they assumed that I died along with Kimoto, and my nakama buried me. But I still need to be cautious.”

“That why your hair’s so short?” Laxus asked.

Camilia nodded, “Makes me a little less recognisable.”

“I like it short.” He told her, “It’s different.”

Camilia blushed and looked away, the only compliments she’d ever gotten from Laxus were about her power, and they were very subtle.

“So did you meet anyone while away?” Laxus suddenly asked casually as he sipped from his mug.

Camilia smiled, “Yes. Lot’s of people.” She told him, “The lady who took me in while I was in hiding was really nice, she made lots of sweets, and always cared for my injuries when I had them. But I didn’t like her daughter. She was really rude.”

He glared at her lightly, slightly annoyed by her changing the question.

“I meant a guy you didn’t want to leave.” He hissed.

Camilia smiled lightly and looked down.

“No.” She said quietly.

“After seven years, you have made zero progress in the dating world.” He sighed, “You’re hopeless.”

“Camilia took a sip of her tea before replying, “Maybe I was holding out these past seven years.” She said.

“Who on earth is worth holding out for seven years for?” He demanded.

Camilia shrugged, “True love is.”

Laxus looked at her sideways. She still hadn’t looked up from her tea.

“I got one more question for you.” He told her, Camilia looked up and met his gaze finally. Laxus got up and walked past her to go into one of the doors, before coming back out, and closing the door behind him. When he sat back down he held a flower in his hand, “You know all about the language of flowers. So you obviously know what this one means. I unfortunately don’t, and I wanted to know; why did you give it to me?”

“it’s a giloxa.” she stated gently taking it from his hand, with just a touch from her fingers the pressed flower came back to life, filling it with the some bright colour as before, “A giloxa represents love at first sight.”

“Bet you didn’t know it’s meaning when you first gave it to me, huh?” Laxus asked, almost hesitantly.

“No, I knew what it means.” She told him, “I find it funny though. I promised myself I would never give this flower to anyone. But then I met you.”

Laxus swallowed hard before saying, “What are you saying?”

Camilia downed the small amount left of her tea and placed the now empty cup on the coffee table.

“I love you, Laxus.” She said staring into his eyes, “I loved you since I first saw you all those years ago. It was actually you who made me so quiet and shy when I first came to Fairy Tail. I was so scared that I was going to say something stupid and look like an idiot. I love you, Laxus.” Camilia held the flower out to the blond and he took it, ” I don’t care if you don’t return my feelings. I told you how I feel. I have no regrets.”

“I have something to tell you too, Camilia.” Laxus said, eyes fixated on the flower in his hands.

“What is it, Laxus?” She asked.

At first Laxus didn’t say anything, he merely reached forward and gently tucked the giloxa behind Camilia’s ear before cupping her cheek in his massive hand.

“When I first saw you, I thought you were just another baka, like Natsu. But then when I looked into your eyes for the first time, I saw my life, like the future, and it was with you. And I still see it, but much further down the line.” He paused and ran his thumb over her delicate skin, “I love you too, Camilia.”

Neither needed anymore than what was said, they slowly leaned in, laxus moving down a little, and Camilia pushing herself up, untill they eventually meeting the middle. And whether it was magic, electricity, chemistry, or their true love, they don’t know. All they knew was that, that moment, their first kiss, it all felt right.

And that no matter how much Makarov, Natsu, or anyone in the guild may object or dislike what goes on between the two of them, they knew it was true.

After a few minutes they pulled away, Laxus’ smirk was so wide he was sure that his face might crack. Camilia was red and breathing slightly heavily. After a moment of catching their breaths, Camilia smiled and said:

“Maybe I could talk to Master to see if he’d end your expulsion.”

Laxus smiled and ran a hand through her silky purple hair, then pushed her head to meet his.

To others, what happened between Laxus and Camilia might be wrong, but to them, it felt so right.

Flowers(A Laxus Dreyard Two Shot Part 1)

It was normal day in the guild for all. Natsu and Grey were fighting, Erza was eating her cake, Lucy and Levy were talking, Elfman was lecturing most of the male population of the guild about being a man, and Mirajane was behind the bar cleaning some mugs. For most it was an everyday normal thing, but there was one witch that wasn’t as usual as she was.
Camilia Grean sat at one of the tables on the far side of the guild away from the stage. The deep purple haired girl had woken up that morning with a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She couldn’t quite put her finger on what might be wrong, as everything was normal, but she knew it was bad.
And there she sat, staring into her juice as if it held all the answers she could hope for. But she was smarter than that.
“Camilia.” The said girl tore her amber eyes away from the drink in front of her to the white haired maiden that had just called her. “This just came for you.” She said and handed Camilia a letter.
She smiled at the beast witch and accepted the letter, Mirajane smiled back and left her alone. It had been a few months since the yellow eyed flower of the guild had been happy and social, as it was a few months ago that the Fairy Tail parade had happened, and someone was forced out of the guild.
Everyone was in the guild watching the beauty pageant happen. Most of the girls from Fairy Tail had entered in hopes of winning the prize money. But as Lucy came up for her turn, Evergreen had turned her into stone, and the curtain came back to reveal that all the other competitors had been turned aswell. Laxus and the rest of the Thunder God Tribe showed up. Laxus said that today was when they found ou who the strongest in Fairy Tail is. And after a few more words, he and his gang were gone. It was just as everyone was about to run out and find one of the traitors that pale pink flower petals started to fall out of no where. Everyone in the building soon became very sleepy, and fell down. The only one who stayed standing was the one who had cast the spell. Camilia picked up her sword from a near by table where it had been leaning, and put it in her belt as she walked towards the exit. Her yellow eyes bore daggers into everything they landed on, anyone who didn’t know her would say that she had the intent to kill behind them. ~~~~ It was almost an hour later when everyone in the guild started to wake up, they saw on the ruin board that only two remained, and they all rushed off to the cathedral where they last remaining where. When they got there, they saw two forms in the wreckage. The smaller of the two was standing up over top of the larger one, it kicked the larger one in the side sending the form from its stomach to its back, and then pressed their heel into their chest. “What the hell makes you think you have the right to do this?” Camilia snarled, “Why did you do this?” The last part she spoke, her voice started to break. Laxus smirked up at her grimly, “I felt like it.” He told her. Camilia’s hands clamped into tight fists at her sides, but before she could do anything she was pulled back by Natsu, Grey, Erza, and Elfman. She pushed all of them off and started walking in the opposite direction of Laxus, but she paused to say something. “I will never forgive you for this.” She choked, “And I never want to see your face again!” And with that she took off leaving a confused guild and a heart-broken Laxus.
Everyone who had been in the guild for a while knew that Camilia was the only one who could calm Laxus down or get him to bend to her will. But Camilia never pushed any boundaries. To someone outside the guild it would look to them as if they were together. But to everyone in the guild they knew that neither of them would ever admit any kind of feelings that they had.
Camilia broke he wax seal and unfolded the parchment in her hands.
The writing on the page was of a strange origin, one of which would make someone turn their head in confusion. But for Camilia, this was her birth language, and upon seeing the particular script, her eyes scanned over the letter taking in its contents in record time.
As she finished she sprung from her seat and grabbed her katana, ready to pull it on the next person who came through the front doors of the guild.
Everyone looked at her knowing there was something wrong. Erza was about to call her out on it when the front doors burst open.
Without even getting a good look at the person, Camilia unsheathed her weapon and charged at the form in the door way.
Those who were watching knew this attack would take out whoever was there, but all of them headed into shock when the same mage got thrown back against the far wall like it was nothing.
A tall man with dark features, dressed quite sharply stepped into the guild hall.
“My, my, my.” He said and clicked his tongueto the roof of his mouth, “After all these years you still haven’t learned.”
Camilia pulled herself out of the rubble, and spat a small amount of blood to the side.
“Shut up, you b@stard.” She hissed as she went after him again.
With only one hand he not only deflected her attack but sent her off into a pillar and a wall again.
Shock on her nakama had wore off, and they started to get angry.
“Oi! Kisama!” Natsu yelled starting off to the strange man.
“Natsu stay back!” Camilia ordered as she forced herself to stand again, “He’ll kill you if you go against him.”
The man began to chuckle.
“What’s so funny?” She demanded.
“You have become a little smarter.” He told the yellow eyed girl before him, “But you’re still so stupid.” He paused and looked back at the rest of the guild and licked his lips, “I was going to kill them regardless!”
“Over my dead body!” She cried and went back at him, making multiple attempts, but the result was still the same. He stopped everyone of her attacks with one hand.
This was amazing everyone in the guild, as not even Erza Scarlet, Titania, the armoured mage could barely hold her own against her with swords.
“You still have no respect!” He snarled and sent her flying back to the far wall, harshly.”Like I could ever respect you.” Camilia spat as she hauled herself up from under the pile of rubble. He began to chuckle again.
“What are you doing here anyway?” She question gripping the hilt of her sword tighter.
He instantly stopped and stared at her, then smiled grimly, “Is it a crime for a father to visit his daughter? You never came to see me.””You’re not my father.” She snarled.
“After all I did for you! This is the thanks I get for it all?!” He said in fake hurt.”With all you did too, and made me do, you shouldn’t be surprised.” She told him.”I gave you a time limit, Chamelona.” He smirked at her, “This is your warning. You have three more days, and then I come for you, and all you hold dear.”
“I’ll kill you before that happens!” She yelled cutting through his cackling.
He stopped and sized her up a moment before a wicked smirk broke out on his face, “You wouldn’t be able to, even if you have a mirical.”
And like that he was gone. When the door was fully closed, the once strong standing flower collapsed under her own weight.
When she opened her eyes again the first sight that greeted her was a crying Happy on her stomach and a concerned Natsu putting a cold cloth on her forehead.
He smiled at her when he saw her open her eyes.
“Glad to see you’re awake. How do you feel?” He asked.
“Like I got hit with a thousand bricks after I ran three marathons.” She replied with a weak smile.”Why did he call you Chamelona?” Master asked the bed ridden girl gaining everyone’s attention.Camilia looked away, obviously uncomfortable by the question.”That’s my name.” She almost whispered, “At least, that was the one he gave me when I was born.”
“Chamelona?” Erza questioned.
Camilia pulled the covers from her torso and forced herself to sit up, brushing Natsu off as he tried to make lay back down.”I have about two hundred brothers.” She started, “About a hundred and eighty are older than I. My father-Komoto, he did experiments with all of his children. Infusing them with lizards, and lizard demons. I was the only girl who survived, and I was infused with the lizard demon Apagathisum.” There eyes widened. Everyone had heard of her, she was the demon of many fables in children lor.”He always named his children after the type of lizard he put in them. Mine was a chameleon, so I was named Chamelona. Not really creative.””And what did he mean by a time limit?” Grey asked. She looked down and gripped the material of the blanket on her lap tighter.
“Camilia.” Happy whispered.
“I actually thought I managed to escape him back then.” She told them, it was obviuse to them all she was holding back tears, “But it was all his plan. He wanted to see just how powerful I could get on my own in twelve years. I can’t believe I was so stupid to believe I actually out smarted him!”She was giving a weak pathetic laugh at her words, before sniffing and bringing her knees up to her chest and hugging them there, as well as burying her face in her knees, “No one has ever, ever out smarted him, ever!”With the exception of the soft sobbing coming from the purplette, the room was quiet.
It was only broken by Natsu smirking and slapping Camilia on the shoulder, causing her to look up.”We’ll just have to beat him!” He smiled.
She shook her head, “He’s too strong.” She told him, “Not even a hundred Gildarts, backed by fifty masters, in their prime, would be able to take him down.””But you forget, Camilia.” Master said gaining her attention, “The power family, is far stronger than any other force on this earth.”She looked down and nodded. Camilia always had faith in the guild. She always loved it, and it’s members. But just speaking about such a thing as this, made her feel dirty. She had only ever revealed what her father had done to her to two people. And both of the people who were in her life where now gone, and they weren’t coming back. Ever.
–3 days later–
“Let me out of here!” Camilia screamed bashing her fists against the magic ruins that held her in the small square.
“This is to protect you.” Master told her.
“What you about me?” She asked, “How am I supposed to feel staying in here while all of you go out and fight my battles? He’s after me! And if I’m not there to protect you. . .”
She could only trail off on that thought.
“Freed, let me out!” She demanded.
“I can’t do that.” He told her, “This is for your own good.””Listen to me.” She begged, “I am the only one who has even the slightest chance in hell of defeating him. Non of you stand a chance, even if you stand together.””But a good family will not their family go through something like this alone.” Makarov said turning his back, “If we can’t defeat him, we have business calling you our family.””Master, please listen to me.” She begged, “I know a way to defeat him, but I need to be out on the battle field with you guys.””Enough.” He told the young girl, who was now on her knees, “You will not partake, you will remain here until we come back.””What if you don’t come back?” she yelled to the retreating forms of her guild, “Master!”As the doors flew shut, the yellow eyed girl willed herself not to cry. She had to figure out a way out these ruins to save her family.Thankfully, she had known Freed for a long time thanks to a certain blonde a**hole. She unfortunately didn’t have a magic pen to rewrite the ruins, but she had the next best thing. she stood upright and grabbed her sword. With one swift motion she cut the floor, and ruins aswell allowing her freedom. She didn’t have long to congratulate herself. She took off towards the rondevo point. When she had arrived she saw Komoto throwing the last of the guild to the side. It happened to be Evergreen. She was tossed in the same direction as Camilia was standing. She managed to catch the woman, and rest her down on the ground gently.”I’m the one you want.” She said moving forward reaching a hand into one of the pockets of her cargo shorts, “You leave them alone.”He started to chuckle, “and you now have the guts to tell me off? My, my, my, cocky little one now aren’t we.””Camilia.” Makarov called to her.”I hate to saw it master, but if you had listened to me before running out, we’d have avoided all this injury.” she told him, She reached down and grabbed a random stick from the ground and grabbed a match out of her pocket, she struck it and held it to one end of the stick and went over to where Natsu lay.”Eat.” She ordered, giving it to him.He took it gratefully.”A miricale.” Camilia said to herself as she lifted her shirt hal way up her stomach to reveal bandages on the lower half of her abdomen, “Hate to break it to you,” She began to undo the bandages as she spoke, “But I don’t believe in those. Hard work pays off. That’s it.”The last of the wrappings fell to the ground, revealing a smooth stomach, and her lower back had a tattoo on it: Swerling stems that stated that the back of her hips, going towards her spine, around them were a few small stars, on her tail bone was a sun, it’s rays jetting out in all directions, and a crescent moon within the sun.

“Your birth mark.” Natsu thought out loud as he had finished the given fire.”This is a seal.” She told her adopted brother as she helped him up, “It’s what stops Apagathisum from taking control of me. There’s only one way to remove it, and that’s by burning it off.”That same dark chuckling started again, “So, you would rather die by the hands of that lizard demon taking control of you, then you would coming back with me? My, you show gratitude quite well.””If you take Fairy tail from me, I will have nothing.” She told him, then turned her attention back to Natsu, “Burn it off.” She told him, “I’ll create a barrier and then you and anyone else who can stand take everyone to safety and take care of them.””What about you?” He asked.”Yes, what about you, Chameleona?” Komoto asked, “You’ll die when that seal gets released, and you’ll be on your own.””I won’t die.” She told him smiling softly, “They would never forgive me if I died at the hands of someone like you.”She turned back to Natsu who had his lips pressed into a thin line and his eyes were down.”I’m ready Natsu.” She whispered to him, “I have to do this, and it has to be alone.””I know.” He said swiftly, “It just hurts,” He paused as a single tear ran down his cheek, “That we’re going to have to say good-bye.””Don’t think of it as good bye.” she told him and slowly wiped away the water from his eyes, “Think of it as finally closing a bad chapter, and opening a good one.”He didn’t reply as he took Camilia in his arms for a tight embrace.”I’ll miss you.” She told him. There was no hint of sadness or sorrow in her words. Natsu knew that she had accepted her fate, and he had to do the same.”I’m gonna miss you too.” He said and slid her t-shirt up so he had access to the tattoo, “I believe in you.” he whispered as he set her back a flame.”Arigoto.” She whispered back as she pried herself from him and jumped back creating a large wall of indestructible vines between her and Komoto, and the entire Fairy Tail guild.~~~”Come on.” Natsu said to everyone who was concise, “We need to get out of here.”He picked up an unconciuse Juvia, and Dorry.Erza nodded, allowing her eyes to water and nothing more, as she got up and helped injured Lucy and Levy away from the scene.Everyone got away as soon as they could, but they couldn’t help but spare glances back to see if their nakama was alright.

Her breath was ragged as she layed sprawled out on her back. He sun was beginning to go low in the sky. She pulled herself to the roots of a willow tree near her. She wanted to rest against the trunk as she died, but soon gave up on that thought as her arms gave out on her.She was surprised she had made it that long in her released form. It had been hours, and he was finally dead, meaning she could die in peace.Camilia knew it wouldn’t be too long after this. Her arms were covered in small scales, her finger nails had turned to claw like talons, and she became colder than she normally was.”I only have one regret.” She said to the wind, “I never got to tell him myself how I felt, and I never will.”A single tear escaped her as she layed her head down on her arm, prepared for death. She kept getting colder, so cold she felt like she was freezing.Freezing! She glanced behind her, and sure enough, ice was forming at her feet moving it’s way up he legs.”Mena.” She whispered and bit back the tears. She raised her right hand out in front of her. She gave the sign. To always be thinking of them, no matter how far away, or where they are.—“What do you think?” Levy asked after Camilia was party thawed, “It’s a long shot, but it’s worth a try.”Camilia nodded, “Do what ever you need to.” she told her, “I realized I’m not quite ready to die yet.””It’s gonna hurt a lot.” She warned.”Compared to what he put me through. It can’t be that bad.”She nodded and Grey removed the rest of the ice, she performed the spell and they left.At first Camilia didn’t feel anything, then she felt as though I was being burned alive, and pulled apart, and stabbed in so many places. And eventually started to cry out in pain.~~~”You think it’s gonna work?” Natsu asked the blue haired girl after she finished explaining, Camilia had begun to scream from the back room.”It’s a long shot, but I figured it was worth a try.” She told him.He nodded and looked back at the door. He was worried about her. He knew from the moment he first saw Camilia all those years ago that she was delicate, and he now knew why.~~~It was almost three days after Levy hod preformed the spell on Camilia. The idea was to reverse the effects of the broken seal, of course she need a new one soon, but it would keep he from turning.Camilia’s cries had started to quiet and stop all together. No one dared to go into the room, scared of what they might find. But Master got up from his seat at the bar and headed for the back room where Camilia was. He came back hardly ten minutes later with a grave look on his face.”Camilia Grean had a long hard battle against her father, and herself. One which we can never understand.” He started to the entire guild, “For us she tried to hang on. She tried to live when her life should have ended.””Gigi.” Natsu said more as a question than a statement. He had already known the answer, but he couldn’t accept the truth. Camilia couldn’t be.”I’m sorry, Natsu, mena.” Master’s voice cracked and he started to cry, “Camilia is dead. But there was one finale message she wanted me to deliver to all of you.”There was not one person in the entire guild that didn’t have watery eyes at least. Gajeel and Elfman denied it, but everyone could see. Juvia was crying an ocean at the master’s words. Wendy and Happy were aiding in it. Even Evergreen, who never really got along with Camilia because they were so different, allowed tears to fall down her cheeks.Camilia was a mage who used plants, vines, flowers, and their root systems as magic. She was known to Fairy Tail as the flower hime. And as he name suggests, even if she and her guildmates have vastly different views, she still manages to bloom in their hearts.”What did she say?” Natsu choked out, the only one who dared to say anything.”Arigoto.” The master said, “Arigoto, mena. For being my nakama, and showing me what a true family is.”Everyone broke out into loud sobs, calling out for their lost friend.”Baka!” Natsu yelled after a minute, “Don’t thank us for it! You returned the favor a thousands times more than we ever did!”

A few days had passed before Camilia’s funeral came. The guild planned to have the funeral in the church yard and bury her there. But Natsu wouldn’t alow it.”Natsu we need to but her to rest.” Mirajane told him.”I know that.” He said calmly, “But in the middle of the city, under cement? I’m not gonna put her there.””Then where?” Erza sniffled. Camilia was like a younger sister to her, and she was taking it very hard. She was wearing a long black skirt, a black tank top, and a black arm band to symbolize mourning.”Her garden.” Natsu whispered, “Under her willow tree. Her entire life spent here in Fairy Tail she devoted to that garden. We should make her finale resting place there, then she’ll be able to become one with what she loved the most.”Everyone looked down knowing his words were right. No one had gone near Camilia’s house since she died. But her house was paid off, and they knew that should take care of all th plants that are in her place for her. It was all they had left of her.So it was set. When the day came the sun was shinning bright in the sky, hardly any clouds around, and it was warm. It was summer weather.Natsu had just finished carving the engagement into the bark of the willow tree. He knew if Camilia was here she would scold him for doing such a thing and then fix the bark. But he also knew that if he had put a cement tomb stone there she’d have complained that it was going to kill some of the grass.Elfman was the one who dug out the grave, it had just enough room for the coffin, and it wouldn’t disturb any of the flowers she had previously planted. Then both men left the open grave and went out to the church. They met up with Grey, freed, Bickslow, and Gajeel. Each man grabbed a section of the pole on either side of the coffin. They hoisted it and then walked through the streets towards Camila’s house where the rest of the guild members were waiting, and crying.”Kinda funny.” Gajeel finally spoke breaking the silence between the men, “The sun’s blaring, but we’re acting as the rain.””Both are important.” Natsu said, “We can’t live without one or the other. Besides, Camilia’s always liked sunny days opposed to rainy ones.””Now we just have to hope Juvia doesn’t drown her garden.” Grey joked lightly, but no one laughed. They finally reached the house and went around to the back where everyone was waiting. They slowly lowered the box into the freshly dug grave.Master stood in front of the hole with sad eyes as he spoke, “Camilia was more than a friend to us. She was family. She was their when we where sad, and she would pick us up and make us feel better. When we were happy she would stand with us and make us even more so. She will be missed by all. I never thought I would actually meet a plant mage that was also part lizard. She was probably the best S rank mage of this generation, yet while she won’t hesitate to end the mission, she also has the biggest heart I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. I know all of us will be incomplete from now on, because when she left she took a large part of all of us.” He quickly turned around to the crying guild behind him, “Anyone have something they want to say?”Erza was first to step forward. She knelt down and threw a cyclamen onto the coffin.”Your swordsman ship has always been one that I’ve admired. I wanted to learn it, and you tried to teach me.” Her voice kept breaking, “But I couldn’t learn, because it was your style. It was something only you could do. I wanted so badly to beat you with my style, but now I can’t. Camilia, you had to be the best friend, and training partner anyone could ask for. Just know that I love you. And I understand why you didn’t tell me about your father before hand.”And with that she went back to the others sobbing into her hands.Surprisingly Evergreen stepped up next and threw in an iris.”We’ve had our differences Camilia.” She started, “We’re, we’re too different not to. I always tried to start something with you because I wanted you to acknowledge me as an equals in intelligence and power. I find this stupid because if I told you this while you were still alive, you would probably smile at me and say you do, we just have different magic and a different way to use it. Everyone does. I’m going to miss our spats, I’m going to miss you. You are a wonderful beautiful person, and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.”One by one all of Fairy Tail dropped a flower into the grave and said what they wanted to say. Last but not least, Natsu stepped up.In Natsu’s hand he had a fake flower, not a real one, which came as a surprise to many. It was a think green stem, and the large deep green leaves. The petals where a shade of scarlet that rivaled Erza’s hair. The design in them were almost that of lightning bolts, in such a blood-red colour it looked almost real. The pollen stems in the center were a bright orange, where on its own would be hideous, but combined in a small amount with the reds, looked beautiful.”I know you hate fake flowers.” Natsu said to the wind, “But you know just how hard it is to find a real blood cosmos flower, so maybe you’ll forgive it.” He gently tossed it in on top of all of the other flowers. There were iris, daisies, chrysanthemums, azaleas, bagonis, all the common flowers. And they all seemed to pale slightly to the blood cosmos that was just put in. “I’ve known you for the longest time. But I think I’m the first who admitted you were gone. You never told me what it was that was holding you back, and you never explained your seal, or birthmark as you told me, you hid it. And I can’t blame you to be honest. The look in his eye as he saw you struggle, when he saw us at his mersey.  Camilia I don’t know what he did to you, to be honest I don’t want to know, because it’ll pain you and make me want to kill him another hundred times. But you’re free from it now. You don’t have that demon holding you down anymore. Make like the pollen and blow in the wind, but you’ll come back. This is your home, it always will be.
